no more chicks with d*cks playing sports together

Meanwhile, what does that have to do with forcing woman to shower with men?
It’s wrong and indefensible.

But policy should not be dictated by hate and bigotry. It should be dictated by sound science and common sense.

While many of these transgender questions are difficult and challenging, they should be discussed in a manner that upholds the dignity of all human persons whether you agree with their gender identity or not.

All of the bigoted tropes and hate-filled narratives serve only two purposes: to cause vulnerable people to feel even more ostracized and hated and to add fuel to the belief any and all reservations about issues affecting transgender persons is steeped in hatred and therefore should be immediately dismissed and condemned.

Title IX exists for a reason. There needs to be federal guidelines backed by sound science to determine eligibility to compete in women’s sports.

In other words, you must be biologically female or have transitioned to the point it can be confirmed medically that the transgender woman/girl no longer possesses an advantage in the way of muscle mass, hormones, etc.
lol, you think the last sentence matters to trump and the MAGA terrorists?

Or bone structure. You know; pelvic differences.
Ovary transplants.

As a liberal but someone who reads and has studied a lot of science, I can agree with this IF and only IF the infant was not mis-sexed at birth. This does happen but very seldom. I heard a UI Urology professor 40 years ago talk about this type of mis assignment happening.
so this would be fine?

Of course not.

This bill is all about hatred and bigotry. Trump has been pandering to that segment of his base (a large majority) from the beginning. If there was any doubt about that, the TV attack ads during the campaign erased any and all uncertainty.

My point is there does indeed need to be a policy discussion on this issue that centers on science, common sense, and human dignity that actual adults partake in. Trump is not an adult and therefore is excluded from my point.

You can't surgery or medication away bone structure and pure size.

Hormone therapy (testosterone suppression) can reduce some of these differences, but it does not fully eliminate skeletal structure, bone density, or certain muscle advantages gained during male puberty. Studies suggest that trans women retain some athletic advantages over biological females, even after a year or more of hormone therapy.

It is just so damn hard to figure out what pubbers think are "states rights" and which are federal.

I also don't disagree that men playing women's sports is BS - but as usual, Trumpty Dumpty comes at it with hate and his usual vitriolic crap that just makes you feel like scum for agreeing with him in principle on something.

Oh it wasn’t confusing at all.
However, confusion is what occurs when a man like Lia Thomas insists that he’s a woman but he refuses to cut off that swingin’ dick.
See the difference?
I see the difference between your posts and my posts quite clearly despite the fact there is agreement on biological men not showering with women or competing with them when science and common sense clearly show the biological male has inherent advantages.

But, yes, the contrast is quite clear. Perhaps I will learn to acquire your level of civility and sophistication after the first time I attend a “mass.”

I'll just say this. As a jr high boy, I sure as hell enjoyed scrimmaging the girls varsity basketball team. Not sure what the hell that has to do with any of this, but csb for me.

Agreed, but it should be limited to college sports. If some 12U rec soccer team wants to include the little trans girl the feds should fuk right off.

If that is the case then you have to go with what YOUR gut is telling you.
If you had a daughter or granddaughter playing a sport I would imagine you’d probably have a take on it by now regardless of what ANY President says.
And for the record I have a granddaughter who’s playing in a select soccer league. Her parents and the other parents would pitch a fit especially since the girls are entering puberty and size and strength will become an element of success very soon. Not to mention safety.

If you think “ anybody should be able to play in women’s sports if they feel like it “ is a winning issue in 2028 why is anybody on either side mad?

Pretty cut and dry issue.

Wow. This is HUGE!

It's going to affect .0006 of the population.

Now how about doing something about the price of ****ing eggs?

If even that many. Trans in general are exceedingly rare. Trans in women’s sports are essentially nonexistent. However, in the mind of the republican male, every woman’s team in every sport at every level of competition has at least 50% trans.

You can produce facts to uphold your remarks about 50%??? We’ll wait.

Trans are not common - but they affect the young women who DO have to compete against a man claiming to be a woman - those young women have trained for years in some cases to excel in their sport and here comes a man who says he’s a woman with his dick tucked and wins.
The third or fourth place woman might lose a scholarship opportunity or a chance at an Olympic trial. Ask her and her parents how that feels.

I don't agree with men playing women sports. Or vice versa for that matter. At its core, sports has always been about competition on a level playing field.

However, I don't see the issue as significant in any way because it affects so few. I'd rather the president spend time working on issues that affect millions. Not tens.

“President Donald Trump will sign an executive order Wednesday designed to prevent people who were biologically assigned male at birth from participating in women's or girls' sporting events.”

I don’t see anything about title IX in the op.
I read the story, it’s an XO related to how Title IX is interpreted….so it’s theoretically applicable to anything governed by Title IX, though not sure who would actually enforce it or what kinds of hoops millions of young girls are going to have to go through to prove they’re girls.

It’s already a known fact.
I know.

Being real for a moment, I do believe there are quite a few cases where gender dysphoria is a mental health issue. However, I do believe anomalies exist, and persons born (e.g.) with a penis are actually structurally and cognitively female. Nature at times also produces human beings with either genitalia ambiguity or intersex traits.

So, it’s not always as cut and dry as people want to make it, especially when you add hormone production into the mix. Yes, it’s easy to point at a Lia Thomas and be like “c’mon, dude, seriously?” but not all transgender cases are that obvious.

Pretty well put. It's possible to have constructive dialog on this topic. It's sad too many people just want to make big sweeping comments and flame with disdain. At the end of the day, people are human damn beings. I mean, I may be an asshole, but I've not lost sight of that simple fact.

Other than the extremely rare intersex births, there is actually no such thing as physically one gender and cognitively another. You are what your DNA says you are. That is science. As humans, we can’t just identify as anything we want and be taken seriously.
