Meyer's match was ruined by that delay. Even with the big move...it was going to be a barn burner with Meyer coming hard and Crutch fading. Instead...the replay gives a guy a 5 minute break to muster enough energy to run for a minute. Absolutely awful.

I agree, but unfortunately they had to stop the action because they couldn't figure out the score. Somehow I knew the score should be 11-6, but the folks at the table were confused.
To be fair, Smith probably would have found some dubious reason to call for a review, which would have been a way to give him a breather within the rules. But AF is right -- it was just complete incompetence that caused the delay in this case.
