It's been 25 years since Dean Smith was the coach at Carolina, but his advice is still sound. (And with NIL, perhaps even more sound.) If you're going to be a lottery pick, go pro. If not, you're probably better off returning. The time is right for Keegan.

Best of luck to the second greatest Hawkeye in my lifetime. Ronnie is still tops with me, but Keegan carries himself with the same quiet humble demeanor and dignity that Ronnie did. Hope he kicks ass for many years in the League!

Dang. Wish him nothing but the best. Was one of my all time favorites. It’s too bad his immense talent only resulted in a couple first weekend showings in the tourney.
Hopefully he lands in a good situation and has a great career! I’d say I would watch him, but I haven’t watched an NBA game since DRose was an MVP with the Bulls….so that would probably be a lie.

And approximately one year from today? We will probably see the same announcement from Kris Murray.
Kinda cool that both Keegan and his dad scored over 1,000 points at Iowa. But just imagine if Keegan had played 2 more years; he scored 822 points this year; he might have ended up with over 2,600 in four years.

For the crowd that's worried about Kris also leaving--FWIW Keegan just did an interview on KCRG's Facebook and was talking as if it was a foregone conclusion that Kris will be back and is ready to lead the team next year.
Whew! Kenyon can still say he scored more points in his iowa career.

I think Keegan's going to be an incredible pro and be a perennial all-star. Hopefully Indiana has a high enough pick to snag him.

😢 Not a fan of the NBA. haven't seen Wieskamp, Garza, Cook, and will probably never see Keegan play again. Good luck to you young man.
My lifelong dream was not to play in the NBA. But it was to make $30 million. Can’t see how anyone could ever turn this down.

Glad he got to play for the Hawks. Would have been a tragedy if he didnt wear the black and gold. I saw a NBA comparison to Pascal Siakam from the Raptors. I hope he is even better. I will be back with season tickets for the Pacers if they are lucky enough to get him!

Great year for Hawkeye basketball, and Keegan was a big part of that. Thankyou Keegan, good luck, and enjoy being a pro. You've earned it.
Glad for him and loved the way he played. Didn't talk or sulk or complain to the refs. He just played and played hard; wish more kids would play that way.
