I know, it isn’t fair when clown fans are asked to back up their BS. The world would be a much better place for clown fans if everyone would just automatically buy their BS and never bring reality into any of their bogus arguments or delusions of grandeur.

When anyone dares, clown fans run away and hide or refuse the simplest of requests/questions.

It was a direct response to a clown fan. If clown fans don’t like it when I respond maybe they shouldn’t come here and run their mouths.

He asked "What makes you think he's legit?" Regarding Labas. That's "running their mouth?" Man that's some real weak tea if that's all it takes.

Jackson Carver off the board. Committed to Miami as expected.
Iowa down to two TE prospects visiting on the 24th.

It will be interesting to see if Iowa adds any visitors for 6/24 now that several have the initial ones have committed elsewhere.

One drawback of being one of the last schools in the Summer to have players in for their big weekend visit is sometimes have guys commit before the end of June visit. However I do like that Iowa does it the same weekend as the IC block party in the Ped Mall. Unlike last year where we whiffed on almost every one think we will land a couple this year, least fingers crossed we will.

Yeah, several of the guys have been to Iowa multiple times which always bodes well.

Next you will say you didn't want Patton. That's how this works.

Been a rough day in Iowa City
Looks like the Cyclones have landed some fine prospects in Black, Ebel, and Patton.

Campbell is a fine coach ... so it's not too great of a surprise that he eventually land some good in-state guys.

Of course, given how players often want to play on the biggest stage - and given how the Big 12 will be perceived as an atrophying conference after Texas and Oklahoma depart ... it does make me wonder about the competitive fire of some of these guys.

I understand Black opting for ISU ... because Iowa is still trying to build a reputation at WR under Copeland.

However, given that Iowa has been landing a bunch of DB and LB recruits fairly recently - it makes you wonder why some of these guys might opt for ISU. Of course, if Ebel really is slated for LB ... the fact that Iowa's base D involves the CASH position ... so maybe I can see Ebel's decision simply based upon the number of snaps available for a teams that features 2 ILBs.

That has to be up there with comebacks of the year! You have embarrassed your entire family with this one.
Cyclone Fans are one of the few fanbases who on away Games bring their Aunts who also happen to be Their Girlfriends. Old Big 8 Tradition I am told . Vertical dating is a thing out West.

Iowa's 2023 class is already looking quite good ... and we haven't even had the big June 24th official visit weekend!

Heck, I wasn't expecting commits from guys in these visits prior to the "big one."

Anyhow, I have absolutely ZERO insider info ... however, I'm expecting the 2023 to be yet another exceptional recruiting class for the Hawks. It certainly is demonstrating how the Hawks care continuing to build upon a nice string of prior classes - helping the program to remain in position to sit at (or near) the top of our division.

The Hawks are being built to have "staying power."

Perfect reasoning why Iowa should end the CyHawk series and quit helping prop up the other P5 In State , Recruiting to Iowa is hard enough without having a Yorkshire Terrier like School grabbing the scraps and once in awhile stealing the steak from Your plate.

The Athletic had an in-depth, ISU article up today.

Factor in, as well, that maybe he craves that 5* culture and togetherness. And he likely doesn't want to play under the pressure of trying to win conference titles.

Perfect fit for Ames CC .

Why can’t some just say good luck young man and move on. Why do some feel the need to bash 16-18 year olds. I get bashing ISU, but no reason to bash the recruits.

I’m sure I’ve done it in the past, but going through the process (just in the beginning stages) with my son has opened my eyes and mind to the whole process and fan side of it.

So...subtle brag?

If you ever read the Clone forum, you'd learn they don't adhere to your lofty standards either.

Not a subtle brag. Just find my ways are changing due to going through the process. Sort of walking in someone else’s shoes or being in their position. It’s kind of disgusting that grown ups will message recruits then talk bad about them if they don’t pick their favorite team instead of saying congrats and moving on.

Just giving you shit.

CB to Iowa for Orwerth(sp) today.
Was just going to post this! Nice find!
Film is solid, VERY willing blocker and played DE at times (pretty stout here too) as well so not afraid of contact, very physical.

Just looking at a highlight film and trying to find a Hawk comparison, maybe Jake Duzey or Reisner type vibe I got.

Most of B10 West has offered him, including Wisky.

Love the comparison ... cool if he can "fit it" ... both Reisner and Duzey were excellent athletes (at least, when healthy).
