*****Offical 2023 Recruiting Thread*****

Not really. Iowa takes all kinds of kids and turns them into All-American tight ends and high draft picks. That's the last position that Iowa fans have to worry about.
Yeah ... LaPorta was a really late add ... and he's obviously been exceedingly productive for us. Beyer was a late add ... and when he finally managed to get healthy, he finished really strong for us. Kittle was the last guy added to his class (a signing day addition, if memory serves). Reisner was a really late add too.

So yeah ... while it's always nice to land highly touted recruits (and land them early) ... I trust the coaches when they land any TE prospect who they like.

It is hilarious, clown fans come here run their mouths and when it comes back at them they down right pissy about it.

Little bro fan base.
They have to run their mouths now because they crawl back down their hole after September 10th.

But you do realize that according to some of their players......ISU is actually TEU now, right? I don't know of a single Clown TE in the league last year......but their domination of the position is coming!!! 😂 🤡

Yep isu is so dominant at producing TE’s that the Mackey Award for the nations best TE is being re-named the isu TE of the year. The committee voted to do this simply based off all the past winners of the award that called lames their college home.

What do you guys think of the CB commit we got yesterday who had an Alabama offer?
The PWO offer from Alabama? I guess taking a scholarship offer over a walk on offer makes sense for a kid that hasn’t played football in 2 years. Is this why he had a track pic for his announcement.

Does Alabama often offer a kid that hasn’t played football in over 2 years? Link?

When is the last time iowa got a kid with an Alabama offer?
You mean an actual offer from Alabama? Not a PWO offer from them?

Gee Opey I think we have to go all the way back to December 2021 for the 2022 class.

Is that what you were looking for?

Yes, I found exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!

Was the kids PWO offer from Bama for football or Track? Find it difficult to believe Bama would offer a kid for football that hasn’t actually played football in over two years.

Then again clown fan delusions are notoriously entertaining so you don’t disappoint on that front.

Maybe you can get to the bottom of this for us.

I'm messaging Saban. I'll let you know when he gets back to me.

When is the last time the clones did? The cb that just committed certainly doesn't have one. The offers I've seen only include Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky and Syracuse. Not exactly the Who’s Who of college football.

No my point was proved. You guys have gotten kids who had Alabama offers too.

List the ISU players under Campbell that had scholarship offers from Bama. Purdy is the only one I know of and that was a snap offer because they had someone leave.

Not sure he did. He did speak with Saban but then told his HS coach that Saban didn't know who he was.

It's a subscriber-only article, FYI.
Ah, my bad. BP may have gotten an offer, not sure. The article talks about how when he actually met Saban, Saban was telling him how he's undersized, didn't have a great arm, and didn't have great accuracy. When he brought up the accuracy thing was when Purdy said he realized that Saban had no idea who he was, because he felt his accuracy was biggest strength. So he told his HS coach that Saban didn't know who he was as a player.

For gods sake, nobody cares about ISU. Get out of the 2023 recruiting thread, start your own.
I feel like the folks that love to argue with iowa state fans MUST be from the Des Moines area. Otherwise, Eastern Iowan's couldn't give two shits about ISU and us Western Iowan's would rather spar with Nebraskan's.

I don't have beef with ISU because I. DO. NOT. CARE. They've never been good and they're irrelevant. Move on from the arguing b/c few care about the Iowa State Cyclones.

I see Jayln Thompson in Iowa City , i think they offer Him if the 2 coming on the 24th don't commit, might anyway . I watch tape and I see a kid that is a P5 TE
