I mean, rightfully so. But I think anyone who watched Iowa’s performance the first half would say that they are not exactly looking dominant
We need the TEAM to rebound. The guards need to continue to help and if TC is not willing to rebound, he needs to sit. That is Fran’s job. If you aren’t going to sell out to win, you sit. Pretty simple.
Were losing because of Cools pathetic effort on the boards. Period.
The way this game has gone, Joe needs to take charge. He's playing hard. Hopefully the others will buy in.

I think the next possession for Cincy right after I said they led rebounding 14-9 they rebounded their own shot 3 straight times. Prettt frustrating to watch

JoeW is a stud but you can't win with only one guy. Fran needs to surround him with better talent.
Surrounding JoeW with Moss, Connor, and Dailey---that is pretty bad guard play. JBo at least has mental toughness and can handle ball and shoot.
We need more than just a run to get us back in the game. Opposing team usually responds to a run and then we are right back to being down 12.

agreed. Chris Webber is an idiot for not understanding what Iowa is trying to do there. They are speeding up Cincy and then they miss and get the offensive rebound.

We need 5 Joe's ... moss is sloppy, TC cant shoot and wont play D/rebound and JBo/Garza are too slow... we need to beat teams with effort and that aint happening
You have slow footed Garza and dis-interested Cook. Plus Cininnati is poor shooting team and ot of long rebounds where quickness and desire is more important than height.

They exerted a lot of energy to cut it to 5. So the halftime came at a good time. They cannot fall back down 12+!

The thing with Cook is that I believe if even one of his layup-like shots had fallen he would have kept that momentum. For some reason it seemed to take him out of the game mentally from that moment on

For those that are claiming that Cincy has the home crowd advantage - not entirely true. They might have a few more fans in the arena than the Hawkeyes but the OSU/B1G fans at the game are pulling for Iowa as most of Columbus hates Cincy. They consider them an in-state rival. I know as I use to work there a few years ago
IA in pretty good shape considering the rebounding & turnover disadvantage, Clean up those two elements and get JBo & Cook going and we should be okay.

JoeW is only guy with complete game and no huge weakness. I agree, Fran needs to quit collecting guys aren't easy to gameplan to defend and also can play defense.
I'd take 3 JoeW's, JoeT at PG, and use Jbo and Garza off the bench for instant offense. Recruit a center that can block shots/rebound and pair him with Garza and you have some flexibility.
This. And I'll add that we need to stop giving them so many wide open shots. The defense really needs to close the gap on the spacing between our defender and the Cincinnati player with the ball because it is allowing them to get open 3 opportunities.
Chris just needs to keep count on the timeouts remaining
