If this would have been Iowa playing KSU and lost 98-93, people on here would be complaining about how Iowa can't play defense. But since it is someone else it's what a great game. It was a great game if you are a fan of basketball and have no rooting interest in it.
And they would likely be correct. Iowa defensive ranking, 164. Michigan State defensive ranking, 42. Not even in the same ballpark.

If MSU played ARK ,Fau or Princeton tonite, they win.
Ksu beats anyone in the country tonite cept maybe Bama or a healthy Houston.

I am guessing MSU fans are complaining about the team not getting stops, especially since their defensive ranking is 42. In college basketball, if you cannot stop the other team's guards, chances are, they will not win no matter how good their defense is. Having good defense does help their chances though.
People say Iowa was lucky and should not have beaten Indiana, Michigan and MSU. Games are 40 minutes or a little more, and I believe teams earn their wins. In each one of those games Iowa made the plays they had to make to win. I am not saying Iowa's defense is good, because it isn't. Each game presents its own challenges and who knows what a team will have to do to win a game.
