Just a pre-season game. The important thing is CC proved she belongs and she hasn't missed a step. By far the best player on the court.

Also the fever were really bad last year, and the wings were 1 of 4 teams over .500.
I think it’s pretty safe to say that nobody is happier for Sheryl Swoopes right now than Sheryl Swoopes.
The Fever were missing Kelsey Mitchell, too. Last season she averaged 18.2 pts, 1.6 rebs, 3.1 assts

Swoopes is a Bally Sports Southwest analyst which is a Dallas Wings partner. They are basically the homer announcers for Dallas.
2 assists is pretty low for Caitlin ? Were her teammates struggling to finish ?
I remember one of her teammates completely whiffed on an open layup. She'd be at 6-7 if her teammates finished.
I know it is just preseason, and it is literally my first watched WNBA game so I'm no exert, but I have a feeling that the level of play isn't going to be drastically better than match-ups between top 25 NCAA women's teams. Better, but not hugely better. Seems like the gap between top 25 NCAA women's teams and the WNBA is significantly less than the gap between top 25 NCAA men's teams and the NBA. We have really been lucky to watch some amazing Iowa teams under coach Bluder the last couple of years.
CC hasn't gotten much rest this year and she still plays pretty well tonight with the spotlight on her. Very nice start.
There were a few missed shots off of her dimes.

also, there was at least 1 time when the Fever player was not looking for the pass and CC was charged with the resulting turnover

Agreed. I honestly would've rather had Kate, Hannah, and Gabbie on the floor than whoever was playing on the Fever.
It's a different paced offense. She ran the point a lot less than college. On top of that she sat for 12 minutes, instead of like 2 minutes like in college.
And as others said, some people missed some buckets which would have put her around 5
I'm hoping they were just trying to get a feel for the game and get in a rhythm because the defense was....lackluster for long periods of time during that game from both teams. Guess we'll find out if it's a one off thing or not.
Hoping Kate gets a spot with the Aces, that would be pretty cool.
I’d say at least 5 plays that could have finished in a score but didn’t.
You know they would have run the floor. I'm spoiled by the Hawks, but the lack of transition buckets made the game less entertaining.
She was matched up on McCowan a lot, which had like 2 inches and 20 pounds on Boston. Boston had positive numbers, but missed 6 shots.
Beth does not deserve that comparison. Not even Pam Ward deserves that.
Not sure if this is the same one but there was one where NaLyssa Smith was tackled going for a perfect pass from CC that went as a turnover. Should have been a foul.
It was a pretty solid start for Clark. I'm sure she wants to hit a few more of those threes.
Indiana's bigs were not very good tonight. If that continues, it will be a long season for them.
Just remember, there’s a reason they’ve had the #1 pick in the draft the past two years. The key will be not being in the same position next year.
For their first preseason game without their leading returning scorer on the floor, they looked better than I expected. Wheeler looked great & quick. They'll need to play 10 if they push the pace like tonight.
My biggest takeaways: 1) wnba production value is on par with pbs state tournament coverage, possibly worse. 2) CC is begging for the team to push and no one seems to want to play at that pace. 3) missed layups are a thing, still.
