Do you think she will accept?
Nike and Gatorade sponsor the Athletes Unlimited League. You think she'd turn her back on them?Do you think she will accept?
They are nothing without her. They will play in a 1000 seat arena. All TV revenue.I think she will not say a word but will send this short video to the organizers:
No idea.Nike and Gatorade sponsor the Athletes Unlimited League. You think she'd turn her back on them?
Social media is going to be blowing up red hot over how this plays out. 😁No idea.
Clark said she would not be playing in the off season. I believe her.Social media is going to be blowing up red hot over how this plays out. 😁
"They that got, get." LolThis deal ends TNT's near-four-decade run with the league.Jul 26, 2024
And, I read where Barkley was pissed and said he'd retire because he isn't going anywhere but TNT. Funny stuff. Who knows how many will scatter?Fun facts on TNT...
The NBA declined WBD's $1.8 billion per year offer to match Amazon Prime Video. “It's a sad day when owners and commissioners choose money over the fans,” Barkley continued in the statement. “It sucks.” This deal ends TNT's near-four-decade run with the league.Jul 26, 2024
Charles Barkley earns around $21 million per year from TNT as part of his 10-year, $210 million contract. 😲!!!
Could TNT be looking to create a women's league to compete against the WNBA since they lost the NBA?
.

How high will TNT go? 7 figures? Jealous and hate will reach new heights.
In other words, a lot of fun 😁 in the next 2 months.
What did he say that was incorrect?Good job of summarizing everything wrong with this forum.

Plus the men are no names.Women & drama....LOL
Are the players being guaranteed income?
I have no desire to watch 3x3 men OR women because they are not playing for any real championship.
I just don't see people tuning in for it; we'll see, I guess....

The WSJ article was written by sports writer Rachel Bachman. A few weeks ago she wrote WSJ piece entitled She Was Caitlin Clark Before Caitlin Clark. Now She’s Shooting for a Title. Bachman opines that had the 2020 NCAA women's tournament not been cancelled, Sabrina Ionescu would have been the household name across America. The article is behind a paywall, but you get the picture.
I guess but its the same argument we have about so many coaches. Is Harbough or Day really that much better a coach then Kirk or do they just have access to way better players for an overall roster, Same thing with Bluder vs Mulkey or Geno?Mulkey has won every place she has been. While she's extremely unlikable, she's got 4 natty's. Talent or not that's pretty damn good.
I don't see it either. The only time they need Clark is when they want something. It was ok for them to berate her, call her fans racist, mysogynistic, etc. The "Physicalty" with her, even going after her eyes. If she doesn't play (and I don't think she will), no one is going to care to see that crap.I just don't see people tuning in for it; we'll see, I guess....
Man did you put this into perspective! I’ll be so bummed if she plays for themI don't see it either. The only time they need Clark is when they want something. Me too. Add to that the possibility of injury. Hate to see it.Man did you put this into perspective! I’ll be so bummed if she plays for them

I heard the same thing earlier. Will anyone set aside the time to watch? Probably not IMO. Are we watching the same podcast?Am I the only one that thinks this will fail not because of the game or the players, but because they are underestimating the attention of NCAA basketball (men and women), NBA, and the NHL? The majority of people don't really need/want more time with the WNBA players when there is so much already going on.
It's a dumb idea. Focus on growing the WNBA.
I haven't viewed a podcast on the topic, but good to know I'm not the only one with that thought.I heard the same thing earlier. Will anyone set aside the time to watch? Probably not IMO. Are we watching the same podcast?
Absolutely!I haven't viewed a podcast on the topic, but good to know I'm not the only one with that thought.
It's time for Iowa basketball and hockey. The WNBA can have their summer time when those things are done.
That is very much true. It will also fail because 3 on 3 basketball is boring. There’s a reason the attempted men’s leagues have failed to matter. Add to that the fact that the game will be played under the rim and you end up with something I wouldn’t bet a dime of my own money on succeeding. Maybe a few sponsors will prop it up for a few years I guess.Am I the only one that thinks this will fail not because of the game or the players, but because they are underestimating the attention of NCAA basketball (men and women), NBA, and the NHL?
