And it ended just like it started…missed layups and really poor officiating.Thank goodness it's over lol.
I’m glad she’s getting shots up, but man she could use a bit more speed from catch to shoot and some elevation in a jump.
Is CC catwoman?
Silver and Engelbert were both there watching. Will some changes be made to the officiating in the offseason? I'm not holding my breath. That was one of the most blatant ref jobs I've seen in awhile.
The play where Stewart was "Fouled" at the end of regulation wasn't the worst part of that play. She took something like 6 steps before she shot the ball. And it ended just like it started…missed layups and really poor officiating.
Thanks, Two Sh!ts. Tell us something we didn’t know already. Sucks when it happens to you, huh?
Anyone think she's bitter?
Can someone link the final play here? The play where Stewart was "Fouled" at the end of regulation wasn't the worst part of that play. She took something like 6 steps before she shot the ball.

It is kind of cut off, but it sure looks like the defender's right hand contacts Stewart's left arm along with getting a finger or two on the ball. Pretty ticky tack, but I could see the call being defended.
Call was upheld after Minnesota challenged. Stewart hit both fts to tie the game with 4 seconds left in regulation.
LOLOLOLOL.. Thats the most egregious NON travel call I've ever seen. How in the world can she take 6 or 7 steps and not get called... Ridiculous....It is kind of cut off, but it sure looks like the defender's right hand contacts Stewart's left arm along with getting a finger or two on the ball. Pretty ticky tack, but I could see the call being defended.
The replay you linked also cuts off several of the steps that Stewart takes for the missed travel. I've seen someone say that she was bobbling the ball and didn't have possession of it, hence the no travel call. I guess according to those people if you just play hot potato with yourself you can take as many steps as you want. Here's a better look at the whole play.
. . .
*Ionescu just missed on everything. She was awful. If I saw the box score at a glance, I'd think NY lost for sure.
they reviewed and I believe the ref's explanation for keeping it a foul was that someone "wasn't in position". I didn't know that was a violation

Them changing the call would make refs look bad.
The commissioner needs to do better and they have to change the way they call these games. The physicality makes it a terrible watch. Close game and all but so hard to watch.
Back to the question of Caitlin's offseason, don't compete.
NO need to add the wear and tear of CONTINUING TO play year around.
It's not shitty individual refs, it's a systemic officiating philosophy of allowing a physical style of play that negates finesse.I disagree.
The WNBA players need to do better.
It all boils down to money.
You get shitty refs because you have a shitty product which produces shitty revenue.
The WNBA needs CC in so many ways. It's nothing without her.
I didn't watch one game after Indiana got beat and I'm pretty sure I didn't miss anything.
I'm sure that miserable hag cheryl reeve is taking it well
