Okay everyone, call your shot with Fever roster moves. I predict:
- They sign Kelsey to a supermax deal
- Package Smith in some type of trade with Dallas where they agree not to core Sabally, and they then sign Sabally
- They resign Temi on the cheap for 100K or so, leaving room for...

I'd be fine with that. I'll be interested to see if Smith is available for expansion draft. If Smith isn't a part of a trade for Sabally, I'd offer draft picks for her.
I don't think the Fever are interested in draft picks because of cap space, in light of KLS, and then dead weight like Wallace, Berger, and Saxton. Well, at least not for this draft, unless a trade partner would take also take KLS, Wallace, Berger, and/or Saxton off the payroll.
I would add that with the expansion draft tomorrow evening, a lot of this might come to a head sooner rather than later.
This article suggests that the Fever could trade their 1st round pick to the Valkyries for their second round pick, if they agree to take KLS off their books. That would be huge in freeing up cap space to sign another proven vet...

Maybe but not necessarily. See what happens tonight, then see what happens prior to draft. Also, a new CBA needs to be negotiated that may have an effect on contracts offered.
I would say it depends on what Sabally wants. Teams seem to be very cooperative letting players do what they want, especially ones with as good of or better financial options in Europe. Bueckers is a talent and a great scorer but she is nowhere near the facilitator Caitlin is. That is not a slam on Bueckers because no female is. I would think Sabally wants to be facilitated, and the Fever desperately needs a 4 like her. It would be the perfect fit. But, maybe she just likes Dallas and wants to stay. No idea.

Part of it could be that she is not a pre-Madonna, but rather is holding out for a better rookie contract once the new CBA kicks in for the 2026 season. Virtually all all of the big names aren't signing contracts committing them past the expiration of this CBA, so that they can maximize their next contracts.
She could frame it in a way that doesn’t come across as prima donna. “Unfinished Business”, “UCONN Pride” and all of that.
Playing college basketball at 24 years old is not a good look IMO, especially when it is patently obvious that she is avoiding Dallas. Few would buy the contrived story for a 6th year when she is a consensus top draft pick
I'm wondering if Paige just wants to be in LA. She could tell Dallas that she will stay at UCONN unless Dallas trades the pick to LA.
You knew the draft lottery wasn’t rigged when Caitlin went to Indy and then LA didn’t get Paige! Seems like the W would love her in LA with brink and Jackson.

True, but its not like PB has "Elway or Eli Manning cred", and as I said her injury history status alone would make that a foolish choice I would think.

Yeah, she was a Hawkeye great but in terms of the W, I would prefer Caitlin to team up with another all star, not a bench player.
Did CC put on a little bit of muscle in the off season? Her legs look a little bigger and more defined.
I truly believe if she avoids injury and they get one key free agent at the 4, she is going to put a stranglehold on the W for a decade, starting in 2025 with white as the coach.
The Fever have a "big 3" right now in Clark, Boston & Mitchell; they have a great coach & GM now, too.
It will be interesting to see how much they improve on their 20-20 record and 6th place finish in the 12 team league. I would hope the sem-finals would be do-able next season; could they possibly slip into the Finals? Not sure about that with Minny & New York in their way, but it will be fun to find out.
