I would like Reese to take a cheap shot at Griner and see what happens.
I believe if I was Clark I'd be a little disappointed in my coaches and teammates in not covering my back.
If Clark would have retaliated she probably would have gotten a T and F1 the way they're calling games.
I get the impression none of these women know how to act/be with eyes and attention. They don't understand the repercussions of their actions and how they are magnified in this moment.
What is worse, the WNBA itself doesn't understand. Reputation of the league and it's future is at a pivotal moment. Inaction tells me they are satisfied with the bottom shelf. Clean it up, prove entertainment and watchability, or that future television contract is just a pipe dream.

Carter now joins Angel in an exclusive club where in spite of their work and accomplishments, the only reason that anyone knows who they are is that they dissed Caitlin Clark.
I am so sick of all these people, just like in the LSU and South Carolina college games, trying to make this all about race. It’s ridiculous to even go there and stereotype and assume things over race. We all need to do better and look for the obvious and non biased explanations which are often obvious ones. There's some weird stuff going on with the officiating. It's not just bad, it's unbalanced, arbitrary, they have no interest in taking control of the game. Almost as if at the preseason meetings they were told not to play favorites with CC as it would look bad. So they're overplaying it in the opposite direction.
Same. Usually people that attempt a 3pt shot have enough skill to hit at least one FT. Probably broke some sort of WNBA record or something.

Charters were already in discussion and the majority of the increase in TV and tickets sales are around the CC buzz. Yeah, she's played in 10 games. So the buzz and curiosity is still new. We'll see how long and to what degree is lasts.
There is an opportunity for the league to capitalize and be-atches like Carter need to realize that. But this isn't gonna be a resurgence like Magic and Larry brought to the NBA. How many people are watching and saying "wow, this really is a pretty lousy product". You need look no further than this board.

During the Sky previous possession, Clark deflected and stole Carter's attempted post pass. Clark dribbled down court and Carter picked her up. Clark drove on her and gave Carter a push-off forearm. Ball went to AB. Boston missed a few shoots, Carter got her hands on rebound and Clark stripped her - Boston scored. Next possession Carter lost her shit.Getting ready to watch the 3rd qtr. That Carter foul on CC was ruled a Flagrant 1 if I heard correctly. There must have been some trash talk going on, because I didn't see a lot of contact before that. The one thing I did take note of was Angel Reese hugging Carter after that play at the bench.

Right. Things need to fall into place and the league needs to understand WHY CC is generating so much buzz. It ain’t big beefy centers and thug style rugby. If they don’t evolve they will have squandered the opportunity and yes, the $$$ will fade.
