After the Seattle game I read that some people in attendance said what precipitated the Vivians/Clark verbal exchange and bump was a punch or forearm delivered to Clark's chest.
Today I read that a fan captured it and posted it on X. Anyone seen it? I would love to see it. If it actually exists the Fever need to send that also to the W's office. Get to sleuthing @Franisdaman !

The Las Vegas Aces first pick in the 2017 draft was Kelsey Plummer (one of the best players in the league). Guess what happened her first year…they sucked and got the first pick again. Then with that pick they took Aja Wilson (who many say is the best player in the league). Guess what happened her first year….they sucked again and once again got the first pick in the draft. With that pick they took Jackie Young and they finally had a good season. So obviously one great player (or even two) can’t make a bad team good, so anyone that downplays Caitlin’s success this year due to not winning doesn’t understand that.
Yeah, those hard fouls are part of the game. But headhunting isn't and that little bitch Carter will get hers. So will thug Reese.

Clark is succeeding in spite of her team. The team isn't losing because of her. But her team most definitely is not succeeding.

I agree, but that has little to do with the price of tea in China. Clark may very well think thats if they're not winning then "she" is not "succeeding", BUT no player can win games by themselves. It took Pippen and some others for MJ to take "Da Bulls" to another level. Will see what a few days rest and some practice do to help CC and her teammates get on the same page.....

I haven't downplayed CC's success. I've stated that what she is doing is impressive. At the same time, I don't believe it's accurate to say she is "succeeding at a very high level."
This would involve winning. And again, I would bet money that CC agrees with me

Clark is doing quite well. But that isn't the same as "succeeding at a very high level," when it comes to team sports.

What has little to do with the price of tea in China are individual stats compared to winning percentage in a team game.
Y'all are a tad sensitive on this one. I've said that Clark has been pretty impressive. All I did was take exception to the specific wording that CC is "succeeding at a very high level."
We are in a time where team sports is far too individualized. All I'm doing is sticking up for the team perspective.
We are in agreement that we don't believe CC would call this "succeeding at a very high level." And that her reasoning would be lack of team success. Nothing else needs to be said

What do you think? The police are short staffed and the ones we do have are cowards who scam the city for overtime. They're never too short staffed to write a parking ticket though. Our law and legal system are broken.
There is team success and there is individual success. They are not the same thing and they don't have the same metrics.

What does succeeding at a high level mean then? I would consider the WNBA to be the highest level possible. I would also look at how she is playing based on her statistics and consider those to be successful numbers for anyone, let alone a rookie with a target on her back on a terrible team.
Because if you meant "Succeeding at a high level" as "she is succeeding very well", well that's just a redundant statement. Success means you are performing at a high level.
I’m just waiting for the other team to pull a gun on Clark one of these games and for the refs to say, “incidental contact, play on.”
Sides’s comment about continuing to send video clips into the league office doesn’t go far enough. She needs to say, we’ve been sending videos into the league to try to get them to clean things up but if they don’t do that soon we’re going to take care of the matters ourselves.
If the WNBA wants to be legitimate, they will either put a stop to the BS with explicit instructions to the refs, owners, and coaches about what is and isn’t acceptable with fines and suspensions forthcoming for violations. Or we’ll end up with the 70s-90s NBA where players punch it out on the court.
For these women on $64k annual contracts like Carter, a $5k fine is going to be pretty noticeable to them considering it would be after taxes.

If I’m the commissioner I’m calling Carter and their coach to my office and dressing them down and suspending Carter, and then the coach if she doesn’t own and agree to publicly condemn what Carter did. I am then calling those refs to my office and make them rationally explain how that was not upgraded to a flagrant foul, or they are dismissed from the league. That would end this shit.
