Is it really that hard to bring up Colin Rea and Danny Hultzen and put them in the bullpen? They can’t be any worse than the bums they keep sending out to the mound.
The whole bullpen is. There isn’t one person in that pen I trust in a close game.Ciscek is a turd
F******* nuts!!So, ah, this game is going to be a crazy one.
Thanks, Lute! This Yastrzemski "kid" (I guess he is 28?) for SF is a good story. His grandfather was a helluva player for Boston in the 60's and 70's, including winning the Triple Crown in 1967 IIRC in leading the BoSox to the WS. In fact, I believe the owner of the team at that time (Yawkey?) thought he was a better player than Ted Williams. That's saying a lot.
I didn't realize he is as old as he is until I checked his bio. He's hit 17 HRs in basically half a season since his call up, including, I believe 3 in one game recently. Hopefully the Cubs can hold him in check tomorrow.
EDIT: Hell, he hits 29 on Friday. He's not a kid!![]()
Very true. This shouldn’t have been a close game as it was.The whole bullpen is. There isn’t one person in that pen I trust in a close game.

The offense bailed out Darvish, Holland, and Chatwood.
This is where an experienced catcher, like Crash Davis, would help; someone to take charge.Seems he just fell too in love with his off speed and the 3rd time through the order, the Giants were sitting on it.
Thanks, Lute!

It is a good story though. Never heard of him until this year. And man, does he look like Gramps facially.
Some players are late bloomers. Tommy Pham has a similar story (if not a bit more amazing given his myriad of health issues along the way). They're the kind of stories you just don't see often in other team sports.
When he made that error he came apart at the seams. That was a very unusual game for Darvish. Usually when he gets hit hard it's because he's not locating his pitches. As Len & Jim talked about, if you'd have just said that he had 8 Ks with no walks, you'd assume he probably went 6-7 innings and gave up maybe 2 runs. Seems he just fell too in love with his off speed and the 3rd time through the order, the Giants were sitting on it.
I'll take full credit. Forgot to rotate Hendricks into the SP slot on my fantasy team this morning. Remembered it once game started. Too late. Knew he would throw a gem right then.
He rarely has 2 clunkers in a row. When he has a bad one, you can usually rely on him to pitch great in his next outing.Damnit Hendricks!! Act like you care!!
In all seriousness, heck of a game. Need more of that from him down the stretch.
Yep. Been here twice before.11 games over .500. Doesn't this tie the high water mark for the year so far?
Awesome game from him. That’s what I want to see when he goes out there.Damnit Hendricks!! Act like you care!!

It seems that the problem this year is that when we get there we start a road trip.Yes, they've been here between 3-5 times, IIRC.
Nevermind, saw post above. 3x apparently.
