I thought that was an odd playcall for Purdue on 3rd down. Now I see why they did it, to make 4th down more manageable.

CJ in straight shotgun is way more dangerous to his health than that QB draw earlier. They are bringing a lot of pressure and CJ has a tendecy to hold longer than he should.

Not only that, but he tends to sit in the pocket on several of those where he holds on too long as well.
