Going to play TCI tomorrow, Played there about 4-5 years ago, Nice Arnold Palmer designed course.
For you golf club junkies like me I bought a Taylormade burnr mini driver this spring, Really like it, I struggle off the tee at times and the mini has been great, not quite as long as my normal driver but pretty darn close and has really helped with accuracy.
I have one and love it. Can’t hit the 460cc drivers but this one is pretty accurate and long enough.

So much hype on Max Homa. But his performance in majors is really lacking, I’m staying away from him.

Agree. I’m full fade on Max, this confirming that your 2023 US Open winner will be … Max Homa.

Thomas - yea or no? I really want to go overweight on this at that price.

I’ve seen a lot of pin sheets in my life. I’m having a hard time remembering ever seeing a “3” on the pace lines. There are no set “guidelines” for pin placements, but it’s generally accepted that they’re at least the length of the flag away from the edge of the green. Three paces is 7-8 feet, so they’re putting those things awfully tight.

Just bumping this to say I shot a +3 39 on the front 9 tonight. Had 3 birdie putts lip out and had a bad chip I flubbed on #9 or this could have easily been a -1 on the night.

Significant because my goal this summer is ro break 80 and I've never broke 40 on this front 9. It was a good scoring round but I actually feel it wasn't the best I've played this year. Monday I went 43-44-87 and felt that was a better ball striking round, just had putts that didn't fall.

Which means to me that my game is improving and breaking 80 might just be around the corner...or I'll throw up a 95 next week.

The look on his face when he made the putt was not excitement but relief.

What a tough mental game this is.

And of course Butch got him back on top.

JT - call Butch.

JDC Week! I don’t ever bet on players to win outright, but that changes this week. Denny McCarthy (+1600) is my pick, and I’m really tempted to throw a little $$ on Akshay Bhatia at +10000. This tournament seems to give young guys on the brink their first win.

I’ve been in Bhatia and Theegala all year. Like your Bhatia play.

I’m gonna press and go with a core of Jäeger, Cole and Kuest this week.

My new TaylorMade Stealth irons finally came in. Bit surprised at my fitting that they were the winners but felt nice. Haven't had them to the range yet but hit a few 9 irons on the sim when I picked them up. Was averaging 175-185. Now... The loft (37) is basically a 7.5 iron on my old set, but that's still adding 10 yards over my old 7 (34 degree). I may need another wedge.
