Got my full Mizuno bag a couple of weeks ago. Irons are the 245’s 5-PW,GW. T24 52,56,60 wedges. STZ 230 driver and the ST Max 3 and 7 wood. Putter for is the OMOI 3.

Love the irons. Similar in size to the P770 with a little more workable ball flight and still plenty of forgiveness for its size.

Driver is very accurate but short compared to my Paradym and Darkspeed. I am giving it one more round.

Fairway woods are straight cheat code. If you want a high launch, slight draw with great distance give them a look. They are staying in the bag.

I love the look of the wedges but they are short heel to toe. Feel is great with good spin but they are too small for my liking and I am not a fan of the leading edge.

If you are thinking of a milled putter roll one of these. Feel is incredible and if you like a heavier weight look here. Plus you get the weight kit at no extra cost and they are cheaper than a Cameron.
I'm a big fan of Mizuno irons. I have played MP53's and MP 57's. I favor KBS shafts.

I'm in the market for a new driver, but I don't wanna drop $600. Any recommendations for 1-3 year old models? My swing speed is around 100mph.

This feels like a tougher major than normal to handicap because there are so many guys that fit the mold to win at Valhalla.

I like Byeong Hun An this week….a lot.

Keith Mitchell is a sleeper for me here too, but I’m thinking more of a top 20 or 30 bet, nothing too crazy.

I could see Brooks being in the mix.

Been looking for a new putter for months. Testing countless models at every golf shop that had a putting green. Ordered two mid-mallet putters to try out (thanks Amazon for having them both on sale and free shipping/free returns). Love the weight and the face balance of the Mizuno, plus nothing feels like a Mizuno, putters included. The Cleveland has a slight toe hang and a nice feel as well. Not as heavy and doesn't have the adjustable weight system like the Mizuno, but dang can I consistently stroke it with this thing. I was comparing them last night on my home practice surface. Need to take them out into the wild this week for further testing. Right now leaning on keeping both because you know dang well if I send one back I'll change my mind a week later.

I have collected far too many putters over the years so I am in the keep them both camp. I mainly use an Oddessey Rossie putter, Older one with the white hot insert, The last couple weeks I have been using a spider tour putter that I got when they originally launched.

How did it look?
They put in a lot of new cart paths so there's grass seed and straw everywhere from what they took out and where they were working. They scalped the greens that morning (was a Friday-i assume it was for the weekend) and they looked painted. New carts. Not bad. The new clubhouse they put in last year is nice.

The more I dig, the more guys I like for top 20/30 bets, which is terrifying.

Cam Young has never come through for me. Not once, ever. But there he is, with good total driving stats, solid/good SG approach, a good finish at Augusta, played well at Quail until a really poor Sunday…. I want to like him this week, I feel like there’s reason to like him, but can I pull the trigger on him?

Him being the modern day JB Holmes is enough for me to root against him. Love to watch him miss five footers though.

Michael Block ... the big story from last year, tees off first in today's 1st round of PGA. He starts bogey, quadruple bogey and is +5 already.

Pretty cool story about a club pro who qualified for the PGA this year. He's my age, 61; was the top junior player in the country when we were kids, played college golf at OkieState. Had some injury problems, lost his game, and quit playing - didn't touch a club for 20 years. Started going back out with some buddies 5 or 6 years ago & rediscovered his ability...

Third round of the year had both my worst 9 and best 9. Shot a 48-39 at Legacy. The 48 on the front was pretty inexcusable. Second shots were crap today. Hoping to get the GHIN in single digits this year.
@Bank of Hawk @Whiskeydeltadeltatango
Shot 99 at legacy yesterday. With 6 pars. The yips from uneven lies on 4, 10, and 18 led to 12 over on just those three.

And as described before... Hit a beautiful layup on #2. Only to chunk the second into the pond. Should have just driven the first one in and saved myself a stroke.

Here are my actual $ bets for PGA Championship:

TO WIN
Koepka +1500; 1 unit
Rory +850; 1 unit
Cam Smith +2800; 1/2 unit

TO MC
Spieth +200; 1/2 unit
Clark +250; 1/2 unit

My big money all majors and the Players pool (salary cap):

Rory
Koepka
Morikawa
Fitzpatrick
Ben An
Patty Reed

It is absurd how often Scheffler holes out from the fairway. I’m trying to think of a comparable athletic feat given the difficulty it is for everyone else….hitting half court shots in basketball during the game like it’s a commonly taken shot? An NFL RB with multiple 300-yard games in a season?

I watch a lot of golf. Think every weekend.

I don't recall him holing out from the fairway at a more noticeable pace than anyone else.

Then you should watch more. He holes out a lot. In fact, he has a running contest with his caddy on how many he can hole out.

When you are throwing darts at the pin all the time a number of them are going to drop.
