Saddest thing about that last pass is MSU had not one but TWO guys in to protect and not only completed the throw, but to someone who was wide open. How is that possible?

Boo! Come on, I need at least ten more minutes of hope before I cave in completely. Epenesa will go in to play QB for a play and throw a ball 75 yards in the air for a TD.
Had a couple really good chances in the 3rd but ended in complete failures. I don't have a good feeling about the 4th.

Safety blitz and of course MSU picks it up and burns us on it.
The safety is starting 20 yards behind line of scrimmage and an easy pickup for MSU. It is self fulfilling. You don't have good blitz schemes to disguise when you are going, so you telegraph it and they pick it up and burn you. So blitzing is bad when you do it with stupidity.

I think Iowa needs youth movement with aim to get faster/more athletic. Maybe Stone for Taylor and Mends for Bower. Eppy needs to play more snaps at DE.
I like our chances. MSU is nothing special. The turnovers have killed us but I think this can be turned around.
