I can't believe one hasn't been started yet.

I have had a sinking feeling over the past 24 hours. Maybe it's nerves. I hope so. This is (obviously) a huge game for the program and once...just once...in my lifetime I would like the Hawks to come through. There is every reason to be proud of reaching the title game....but man, it would sure be nice to come out on top! Iowa is long overdue for something like this! And I would prefer to have them lose to ANYONE but Mulkey.

I have done everything I can to help the Hawks to win.....I won't watch the game and I bet $$ on LSU. All that's left is for me to make my prediction:

Iowa 62

I have not been very successful with wagering on NCAA tournament games, so I bet my entire account balance with my 2 books.... Caesars and Betfred...on LSU.

Likely Iowa's best and perhaps only shot at a basketball or football national championship in our lifetimes. If you are a Cubs fan you know what I mean. I know there are other college sports, but these are the only 2 that really get national (and my) attention. Fingers crossed that this is it.

I have a feeling IA wins this one somewhat comfortably. We're confident and playing extremely well.

It seems to me a variety of defensive approaches is in order:
- Triange and two (Reese, Morris)
- Throw in zone and man defense
- Marshall will take Morris I presume in man defense, not sure on Reese - Warnock or Martin?

Push the ball down low to Monica a lot.
