YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE game tomorrow. ³rd meeting against our dirty rodent hated rivals. They dern near lost tonight late in a game they were leading. Hawks need to be on point expecting buckys best punch and dirtiest tricks. Let's march on to a B1G tourney championship and a final four appearance.

If Weezy plays, how many points do we need from him to take down the those pesky Badgers? Me, just want him to rebound and take can of the ball. If nothing else he should draw out some defenders that open up the passing lanes for #55 the NPOY.

I was gonna say, Joe's role tomorrow night has to be the main storyline now. He will play, but how much and how effectively?
 
LOL if you think the Hawks need Wieskamp to beat Wisconsin tomorrow. The Vadgers shot out of their minds from behind the arc against the 11th seed, and survived - with the help of the officials - by 1 point.

IF JoeW plays, and his ankle doesn't hamper him a lot, Iowa wins by 20+.

If he's kept out, Hawks win by 10-13sh.

I wonder if OP will challenge anyone to a fight in Iowa City this weekend, like he has done in the past when he becomes unhinged during a bad Iowa game.

No telling how this plays out based on how they played PSU. Its a different battle with us and for the 3rd time. We better be ready to go and not taking them lightly!

just stating the facts. @FlickShagwell , for one, knows how bad he gets, especially when it comes to his buddy Oliver Martin (he should have started, remember?).

And I am pretty sure he got an extended time out the last time he lost his marbles after starting a thread bitching about an Iowa loss where Iowa came back and won. Everyone went after him, mocking him, and the screw ball then wanted to set up a fight in Iowa City. And now the screw ball is back.

Have your popcorn ready, that's all I am saying.

Eh, not really. I’m more concerned about the health of Joe W than anything else. Iowa’s a 2 seed regardless of the BTT results(my opinion) This team could probably use a solid week off.

That said, you know the players are in it to win it. I also think we are going to see some upsets tomorrow, especially on the other side of the bracket. Wisc/Illinois/Iowa VS Purdue in the finals is where I think things are heading.

A lot of people agree with you regarding the question on whether a #1 seed is attainable.

I posted this in another thread, but that is the big debate right now. Many "experts" seem to think the Illini's strong ending to the regular season locked up a #1 seed, regardless of how the Illini do in the BTT (even losing on Friday).

We shall see.

Our NET ranking is #6; Bracket Matrix also has us the 6th best team. So, we are currently a strong #2 seed, knocking on the #1 seed door.

Here are 2 different opinions on Iowa and possibly getting a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Yeah that’s my main concern is someone getting hurt. I really didn’t want to face Wisconsin... when they won last night it felt like our chance of injury went up by a lot.

My guess is by the time the Big Ten Championship game is over, the NCAA committee will already have the brackets finished by then. Now if Iowa continues to win today and Saturday against Illinois or whomever, then maybe they leave Iowa and Illinois off the board until the results of the game and if Illinois wins no change, but if Iowa wins they just have to swap positions...
If it evolved more then 2 teams, they probably would leave Illinois as a 1 seed and Iowa a 2 seed.

Agreed. They have turned into a bunch of thugs.

On a side note, Fran said this week he would be comfortable putting Kris Murray and Josh in, if needed (If Luka gets in foul trouble, for example).

Talk is cheap...Fran has said numerous times that he trusts his bench but when it comes to actually using a player with little experience he usually stays in his comfort zone. I doubt we see Ahron or Kris in the game unless it's a blowout one way or other.
 
I am not expecting a win. Wisconsin is going to go all out, and thanks to Gard’s whining the officials are going to “forget” how to call fouls on Wisconsin but “remember” how to call them against Iowa.

I’m more worried about the Badger players intentionally trying to injure Hawk players.

Wisconsin is going to be a step slower from playing an intense game last night so I expect more grabbing and doing even more cheap/dirty stuff to try to keep up and gain an advantage in this game.

It really sucks that we even have to worry about something like this in a college basketball game.

Iowa would have won handily if JoeW wouldn't have gone done in the last game. If Joe is healthy, I see no reason that doesn't happen again. I think Iowa is going to come out focused and are going to play their best ball. Iowa by 15.
