**** Official Israel War thread****

Here is year-ago photo, where Lavrov met with Hamas leaders in Moscow.

And attack of Hamas in Putin's birthday - I think this is not coincidence. Some in Ukraine already say this is planned operation of Russia with support of Iran's proxies to force USA to direct funds to protection of Israel, instead Ukraine. And some conspirolgists say Israel also interested in this - as if because of this that well-known Israeli intelligence "overslept" Hamas preparations and army wasn't prepared.

What I can say. Israel long time didn't wan't to quarrel with Russia even watching their cooperation with enemy #1 - Iran. They were giving drone technologies to Russia (thanks for Hero/Lancet, Searcher II/Forpost) and long time was rejecting to give drones for Ukraine. Israel didn't join to sanctions against Russia. Yes, Israel sent to Ukraine some non-lethal aid, they treat some our wounded soldiers, but their position concerning Russia wasn't so firm as in EU.

And here next example that two-сhairs sitting policy can turn out you will get own Bucha in one moment, because Iran, being funded by Russia for Shakeds, ammo, spareparts for passenger aviation etc, will rise own head and send own proxies to fight with Israel. And here next example to western politics, who scare "escalation" and "WW3" - more than you will be scared and develop own indecisiveness, more Evil Axis will impudent to challenge world order and sooner or later you will get if not own WW3, but the chain of regional conflicts, which can disrupt this global order and then time of dictatorship regimes triumph will come. Only because they didn't scare to use force, but western democracies thoug they can sit out in own zone of comfort.

Now Hamas occupied seven communities in Israel, one military base was taken.

Seriously, it's almost like an inside job, pulling 80-90% of the troops off the border like this, allowing Hamas to just walk in. I've read about Israeli improvements to Gaza defenses after the last attacks/incursions from there 5 years ago or whenever, and they were prepared to stop just this sort of attack - even the paragliders. Defenses don't work unless they're manned.

The Billions that were always Iran’s from a sale of oil to South Korea and were put in Qatari accounts? The funds that have to be spent by other nations for Iran for things like food and medicine and that will be frozen again if the US suspects the funds are used for anything other than non-sanctionable items? You really don’t know what you’re talking about.
My only question in that deal was the funds while in South Korea could still be used for humanitarian reasons by Iran. So why the need to transfer to Qatar?

Other than that, you are correct, even your last sentence.

For the theory to work Iran has to have all of this planned and have the munitions already off to Gaza months ahead while promising some sort of IOU and a promise not to attack until the US lets them access some of their money so they can pay someone then attack? Doesn't really check out.
Yep...Iran doesn't mobilize this effort in two weeks.

Radical Right grasping for straws yet again.

Disgusting.

Now Netanyahu can entrench himself permanently. Authoritarians like Trump can only save us, forget Ukraine etc. It's all tied together.

I think it’s because Qatar has good relations with both Iran and the US and are trying to make themselves more formidable in the international community so they stepped up as the middle man. Qatar only has oil and tourism and I don’t see them risking their hopes to be recognized as a player in the world for Iran. I’m sure Iran is a little hesitant with South Korea these days since the US has such strong ties with them. I’m not a fan of Qatar, their labor practices alone should have them chastised by the world, but I guess we have to try to play nice with the more reasonable states of the Middle East.

Northern front is already getting provoked by Hezbollah. Even if Hezbollah was not coordinated with Hamas (via Iran), it would make sense for them to test the northern defenses right now. Likely more to come.

I thought Palestinians were just peaceful olive farmers?
One thing that really surprised me when I first started working internationally is the animosity towards Israel by the majority Europeans, South Africans, Aussies, Kiwis and many other nationalities that I hung with. I had some great conversations over too much alcohol on why. The basic premise is this: the support for Israel outside of the Jewish community (in their eyes) mainly comes from conservative Christians. They support Israel because of what is located within the country, Christian relics and history. I heard a lot of complaints against our governments positions in that particular region. It was eye opening. I do believe Israel has a right to defend themselves but they definitely aren't saints.

While I was pumping iron today I started to think of this war and Europe currently. Europe is moving Further right due to migrant issues and with this war there will be more of an issue and humanitarian disaster coming. I fear that the response from Israel on Iran/ME will be the start of a reordering of the world order and how we deal with these situations. Crazy times we are living in with something needed to light the fuse for WW3

I don't think there will be all that much support for Israel internationally.

Help me understand how it’s all tied together. I might be misreading your post.

A ton of horrific video out there. This is a miscalculation by Hamas. There is going to be huge backlash across Europe and a loss of support.
EU already recognized Hamas as a terrorist organization along with the U.S.
Nobody is legally funding Hamas from Europe.

Well that’s horribly wrong haha. Just check out all the leaders supporting Isreal this morning

If shit hits the fan I really don't believe that there will be much military support outside of the USA. Condemning and actual actions are two different stories.
