**** Official Israel War thread****

I appreciate you asking, wish I had the time and ability to answer. I will say that I don't agree with an eye (or ten) for an eye is the answer, but that's all this world seems to understand. Eventually the oppressed will strike back, it's inevitable. The good news is that a high percentage of younger Israelies seem to have some support and understanding for Palestinians, I'm sure the events in the last week eroded some of that.

This is something that would take multiple generations to solve. Just horrible for all parties. I'll try to come up with something later in the week.
“Multiple generations”

Yeah going back like 4000 years haha. I don’t think this gets solved unless the Isreal people are gone and that will never happen. So here we are unless the Muslim countries will accept this Jewish state

This is your problem, you think it's an eye for a eye situation. It's not. hamas continues to shoot rockets are Israel. hamas continues to hold hostages. This isn't an eye for an eye, hamas started a war and for some reason you don't think israel should fight back or try to get their hostages back. As you said, you have no thoughts or ideas, just criticism.

Hopefully after visiting Israel Biden takes a right turn after departing and stops in Romania or Poland, and jumps the border to visit with Zelensky in Ukraine. It's important that the POTUS shows support for people fighting against barbarism. Then maybe a stop in the UK to thank Rishi Sunak for his steadfast support, and shake a few hands at Lakenheath.

For sure. I meant going forward, IMO prosperity kills most ills - that's a good place to start - somehow. I don't claim to have all the answers. I do think there has to be a better way. I'm just trying to get the point across that Israel isn't as innocent as it seems in this. Most of their atrocities never make the news in the US.

What's funny is if you lined up a group of Israelis and a group of Palestinians almost no one would be able to tell the difference. They are so similar yet so different.

Hamas started the war - lol. It's never ended. I never said I don't have thoughts or ideas - you're likely describing yourself here; I just don't have the time or inclination to share them with an idiot like yourself.

This latest war, yes, hamas started it. hamas declared war by invading Israel and killing or kidnapping the people. If you're going to try and say hamas was justified in the invasion, then you are defending hamas.

You can say the lining up deal about literally any war in history.

There is so many atrocities that never get reported in the US on many things. Honestly the only way to solve this is war imo unfortunately. These two sides will never agree on anything

An eye for an eye would be Israel targeting civilians because they dont want them to exist or for the purpose of bringing about a specific response from Hamas.

But they're not doing that and it's not the same thing. This obvious to everyone with an ounce of intellectual honesty.

The IDF can say whatever the hell they want to say and we all will believe it. 20 years of demonizing Islam to justify our war crimes in Iraq and Afghanistan play perfectly with this scenario.
Islam has demonized itself. The extremists are genocidal maniacs, and none of their fellow believers seem to mind. Or care to do anything about the terrorism conducted in the name of “allah” or whatever the fvck.

Because it benefits their agenda. We see similar things going on within our own country with leaders.

Do you honestly think the phucker will know what country it is in or what day it is? 🤣 🤡 🤣

This is all certainly teetering on the edge. It feels like any number of things right now could light this powder keg.

To blame Israel for this though is just an awful take.
You can be in situations where a just and or reasonable response isn't a good idea due to a complicated context you find yourself in. It feels like that potentially, for Israel.

These other Arab entities, I'm sure, don't actually feel much for the people of Gaza. They're going to use this as pretense to attack Israel and try to do what they've always spoke of doing to Israel.

Israel has quite a few more intelligent and educated people than does the Palestinian population near by. Sort of like white collar workers in NYC vs rural maga

Not the worst one.....that would be "what color were Christa McCauliffe's eyes?"
