Good to see a RW clown tweeting that.

This whole situation is confusing and nothing seems definitive. Apparently one group is attacking the other. But apparently they’ve been convinced not to.
Cash usually does it.How can we rally Egypt to open the border with Gaza?
Cash usually does it.
Try el Sisi. He's a dictator and I bet receptive. There's gotta be someone we can email??

Egypt sees Hamas as a branch of the Muslim Brotherhood....they don't want refugees from Gaza. How can we rally Egypt to open the border with Gaza?
I don't think Iran would like to be on the receiving end of the hurt that'd generate.I’m going on the record stating that Biden’s trip to Israel is a bad idea from a safety and logistics standpoint. I could see Iran taking a couple of shots a AF1 and blaming it on Hamas.
Agree. Although watching the footage of the cargo plane deploying flares as they approach Tel Aviv gave me pause. I half wonder if they would land AF1 somewhere like Egypt, take a helicopter to the carrier and then a small boat into Tel Aviv just on the risk someone does take a shot at AF1. It would be a shitty way for WW3 to start if a Hezbollah or Hamas terrorist took down AF1 with a shoulder fired missile.I don't think Iran would like to be on the receiving end of the hurt that'd generate.
Rather not contemplate that....Agree. Although watching the footage of the cargo plane deploying flares as they approach Tel Aviv gave me pause. try wendy's.Everybody wants in on NIL. State Farm, anymore spots available?
i don't think it's a bad idea from that standpoint or others, but frankly, I seriously doubt whether a personal visit at the threshhold of war will actually be particularly productive. In other words, I'm really not sure what the perceived upside is, other than perhaps that it's the "symbolism cost" of having the Israelis open some relief mechanisms.I’m going on the record stating that Biden’s trip to Israel is a bad idea from a safety and logistics standpoint. Set aside 'rather not,' i suspect AF1 has the capacity to defend against shoulder fired missiles.Rather not contemplate that....
Definitely.Set aside 'rather not,' i suspect AF1 has the capacity to defend against shoulder fired missiles.
The archduke of Austria, Franz Ferdinand and his wife were shot by Serbian nationalists as they rode through town in a car with the top down. It’s either smart because it’s the ultimate deterrent or it’s awful because it’s the easiest way for full blown WW3. Who was the dude that got assassinated and kicked off WW1?
Are you suggesting AF1 is a convertible? The archduke of Austria, Franz Ferdinand and his wife were shot by Serbian nationalists as they rode through town in a car with the top down.
I think they did away with the convertible model after JFK.Are you suggesting AF1 is a convertible?
Too soon.I think they did away with the convertible model after JFK.
Very true, they might need someone other than Caleb after his last performance.try wendy's.
Are you suggesting AF1 is a convertible?
Caleb went to school at Gonzaga when my son was there. It was truly unbelievable how early in this kid's life that he and his parents were focused on monetizing him. (Parents - real estate guy - actually bought a condo next to school for him to live at so as to minimize time inefficiencies). In some respects, it's a little grotesque, but I have to say, I do sorta admire their ability to both have and stick to a plan.Very true, they might need someone other than Caleb after his last performance.
Oh, come on, when i was in college, literally within 20 minutes of the Challenger disaster, I sat down at lunch and a guy said "You know what Christa McCauliffe's last words were?" Me: "No". Him: "No, I said I wanted a BUD light."Too soon.
These jokes came out really fast. "What does NASA stand for?" "Need another seven astronauts".Oh, come on, when i was in college, literally within 20 minutes of the Challenger disaster, I sat down at lunch and a guy said "You know what Christa McCauliffe's last words were?" I don’t get the point of the trip. What official message needs to be reinforced? Or is this simply for domestic political purposes?Going to Ukraine is one thing, you still have the ability to speak to Russia and they have a command structure. While Hamas, Hezbollah, etc have leadership to an extent, they’ve also got a bunch of lunatics that answer to a higher power
I think they did away with the convertible model after JFK.
In the big historical picture, this visit it sort of interesting in that it sort of evokes Churchill's visit here after Pearl Harbor, or perhaps FDR's trip to Casablana. Sure, presidents have gone into war zones (usually to visit the troops), but the front-end ones covering basic strategy are pretty rare. On the one hand, neat, on the other, potentially underscoring the gravity of the situation. It seems strange that they are announcing the trip days in advance. Seems like in the past when POTUS was going to a conflict zone you wouldn’t know about it until wheels up and on their way home.
Especially with this theater… everything is in such close proximity.
It's the price of the Israelis opening relief corridors.I don’t get the point of the trip. What official message needs to be reinforced? Or is this simply for domestic political purposes?
I'm always a little disappointed in myself that, about 30 years ago when visiting Chief Justice Burger's estate sale, I did not buy his Cadillac Limo with the Scotus seal on the side.Historical tidbit:
After JFK was assassinated, LBJ had the limo refurbished and several Presidents used it including Nixon, Ford and Jimmy Carter.
Bobby Kennedy also rode in it looking miserable.
LBJ probably did that to him to make a point, sorta like how he'd make aides who he was pissed at stand there and take a memo while he was taking a dump.Historical tidbit:

I don't think Iran is insane enough to start a war with the U.S. and Israel. I hope I'm wrong.
