Disagree on the two state solution. It's been tried and tried and Palestine has shown no interest in making it work. You cannot expect Israel to continue to live with that fox inside the henhouse.
It's too late for that option, Hamas, the PLO, etc. have ruined that chance. Remove the Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza and ship them to an Arab state. Iran is so eager to fund and train them in their terrorism. Time for Iran to take those people in and become an agent for peace instead of destruction.

honestly, the un is really pretty much the same thing as the galactic council in the fourth star wars movie.
I know you aren’t the one saying it, but this is not an insurrection. They weren’t trying to overthrow our government or override a legal vote.
I wish they would do their protesting outside the buildings though. Doing it inside just leads to getting arrested which ends the protest.

Yep. Literally everything I have always read said that this was one of the most likely flash points.
It wouldn’t surprise me at all if China and/or North Korea is thinking that if it does spill into a large regional war….now would be the perfect time to take back South Korea and/or Taiwan.
That’s the WW3 end game in my opinion.
Hopefully Iran/Syria/Hezbollah is intelligent enough to not light the fuse with that much U.S. military power sitting off shore. But if they do, I have full confidence in the U.S. forces ability to make them regret that decision.

I’m not so sure they aren’t ready/want this fight. They saw how well Afghanistan resisted and they are much more militarized. And I don’t say that to take a shot at our time in Afghanistan, that’s not my point. My point is it was an excessively long, prolonged, drawn out war and I think Iran/Syria want a fight.

We are obviously going to support Israel and give them whatever they need. But what is the reaction going to be from the ME and the radical Muslims in the western world? Maybe it doesn’t matter what Biden says with what will happen in the ME but it has to be a message where the US and our Allies look strong and United to mitigate as much risk in the ME, whatever that may be.

That’s where I’m at. The Middle East is a cesspool of radicalized Muslims. It doesn’t matter what Joe says or who we support. As long as Israel is recognized as a nation there will be no peace.
That’s why I hope Biden conveys a message of strength and if you **** with us or our Allies then you will get #theHORNS

Admittedly haven’t looked into it, but what is the immediate need for billions in funding for Israel? Is it cash? Weapons? Military aid?
My prediction: This request is going to accelerate the decline in support for funding Ukraine. The American public isn’t going to buy on to another $100-plus billion in assistance and will increasingly say enough is enough.

He's dealing with multiple events of extreme gravity, and just flew halfway around the world and back in 30 hours while juggling said events, with no functioning House of Representatives. But, sure, he's befuddled.
Not going to happen. And, don't lay all the blame at the feet of the Palestinians. Israel has not made a push for a two state solution. As one commentator said on NPR this morning, Bibi has been okay with, "mowing the grass", occasionally. Low grade conflict was good for him politically.
Not sure what the House of Representatives has to do with any of that,.. but yes, he is befuddled.
