Just making a joke. But I meant voluntarily putting yourself in a position where you can get attacked, only to claim self defense to justify your response.
I am surprised at how many assets and people we still have scattered all over that region. Have to admit I was ignorant sbout that.
So maybe a treaty with Iran and releases billions of dollars to them were bad ideas?

If Israelis did it from one end to the other, I wonder if it’d stamp the fight out of the Gazans, the way it did the Native Americans.
But Hamas most definitely attacked Israel. So they have a right to stand up for themselves, right?

By deliberately going to protest/riot, do you forfeit self defense if attacked? I would think if it was a declared ‘public disturbance’ or whatever they announce when legally dispersing a crowd, you’d lose the lawful right to be there. I always saw the Stand Your Ground invoked in a right to self defense only where you had a legal right to be. e.g. A burglar couldn’t ’stand his ground’ against a homeowner.
Didn’t watch his case, so I don’t know if that was a factor.

Iran and Russia are operating in Syria at the request of the Syrian government, which has been welcomed back into the Arab League last May.
Russia and Iran could make the ‘Rittenhouse’ claim to self defense, and Syria just happens to be outside of the umbrella of NATO’s protection. No NATO nation is obligated to help us if we’re attacked in our bases in the Middle East that we established after the Treaty was entered into force.
Weird situation. When Elon says we’re slow walking into WW3 it couldn’t be more true, and that’s before throwing China/Taiwan into the mix.
I don’t blame you. There’s no drumbeat about it in the media. We just get occasional articles when they get attacked.

President Joe Biden emphasized Friday afternoon that the US will “forcefully protect our people,” a day after approving retaliatory airstrikes in response to a drone attack by an Iranian-backed group in Syria that left one American dead and more injured.
But it seemed the president’s actions, and warnings from US officials, had not deterred the attacks, as shortly before he spoke, another American service member was injured in a separate strike in Syria.
My general understanding was this deal was done to delay/prevent Iranian uranium enrichment and or nuclear bomb / missile development.
They were seeking to deter a nuclear armed Iran.
Is this not a worthy aim?
I understand disagreeing with their method of persuasion, but do you understand the why?
How would you personally suggest the USA go about preventing Iran from becoming nuclear armed? What would your diplomatic efforts look like? And remember now, the Iranians hate our guts. They hold yearly parades chanting “Death to America.”

Do you think that treaty deterred them even one bit? Nope. It just allowed them to fund Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthi’s through their increased oil revenues. We will still need to deal with a nuclear Iran , it’s just a matter of when.

I personally believe based on how many assets we have moved and then hearing some bipartisan rhetoric from Congress that the war drums are starting to warm up.

The area of destruction seems pretty significant but localized. Almost like they were targeting a certain area. Weird.
Yeah. A whopping 34% of Palestinians support Hamas and I'm sure that number is even lower after the Israel attacks. Government and civilians are not the same.
Hamas won election in 2006 with 44% of the vote. They did not achieve majority in a single district. They have not held subsequent elections. Hamas is not a legitimate democratically elected government body.
Then it would appear Israel us doing Palestine and Gaza a favor. I guess they are United after all.
How do people honestly think a ceasefire could work? Would we just let Mexico go back BAU if they were behind 9/11 and shared a border with us?

Literally trying to keep themselves as a country when all these groups are finally taking action behind their words to wipe them of Earth. I do feel bad for the Palestinian people but they have given them plenty of time and warning to head to safe areas south.

Correct, they are a group of genocidal maniacs that would make Nazi SS troops blush. They are a scourge on humanity.
Gaza has about population of 2 million with about 50% being 18 or younger. They have or had the highest birth rate in the world for a period of time. They treat their women as breeders.
One method of islamist jihad is through migration and population dominance. This is precisely their strategy in Gaza.
It is also their plan for Europe. I have seen the interviews where they flat out admit it.
