I was watching the NBC news this evening and they said there were 500 or 1000 American citizens in southern Gaza. Seems like Egypt and the US aren’t moving fast enough to bring them home and they stayed that Hamas is blocking foreign citizens from leaving Gaza.

The question is what is an acceptable level of civilian loss in trying to take out the enemy.
There is ALWAYS collateral damage in any military operation. With your philosophy it would be impossible to defend oneself from an enemy as you could never ensure zero collateral damage - especially when your enemy uses human shields. You are most certainly welcome to espouse that philosophy and I wish it was the way all humans treated each other! But in a world where one side will attack, rape, behead, pillage and use innocent human shields your philosophy is extremely naive. It would be the end of Israel as a state.

Agree with the dilemma. Of course Hamas should be held to the same standard and of course they won’t follow it. I hope Israel pisspounds Hamas out of existence. At the same time I want them to take every reasonable step they can to minimize innocent casualties. Even looking at it practically they would need to do that to ensure international support for the war. It is a conundrum indeed.
