**** Official Israel War thread****

I’m not sure where you’re from, and I haven’t asked.
But I do think a lot of the people on this forum have parents, grand parents, uncles, and great uncles, that leveled the cities of innocent Italian, French, Belgian, and German towns to root out the Nazis.

Can you suggest a better way to deal with an aggressive and irredeemably genocidal threat than our forebears showed us?

You have the script flipped. Israel are doing the genocide here and are the oppressors trying to take land that isn't theirs. Never again means for everyone.

Why is the October 7th massacre completely forgotten in all of this? Goodness.

Israel did not start what we are seeing today, but they dang sure should see it through and ensure that 10/7 does not happen again.

Like I said earlier, war stinks….but this fight came to Israel.

Gee. I wonder why no one is talking about 10/7 anymore. I can think of at least 10,000 reasons.

The problem is WestCoast feels hamas is the good guys and they're trying to get rid of the genocidal threat called Israel and Jews. I haven't asked WestCoast where he's from either but I suspect his parents, grand parents are not from the U.S.

I have never one said one thing bad about Jews. Stop conflating Israel with Jewish people.

Yes you have, you feel the attack on Israel was justified and acceptable to kill all the Israelis. You clearly have some history with your hatred towards Israel and it's people.

Perfectly fine. If we declared war on Israel in 1948 and they defeated us and took land during that war that's how it works. Id feel embarrassed we got our asses handed to us, that's how Id feel.

I sense the Arabs in part, but certainly the Palestinians, feel.a huge sense of inferiority to Israel. As they should. They just keep winning. The Arab world hasn't been a player for centuries and the world has passed them by. This is why they hate Israel and the west.

Pretty sure I've explained to you and also cited sources that conquest has been banned

Israel was acting in self defense I feel I need to remind you. This wasn't conquest via aggressive war. And technically there never has been a 'Palestine' nation. Which has been pointed out to you.

Isreal has offered to cede lands in the past. The Palestinians rejected those offers.

What lands exactly do you feel they are entitled to?

He thinks there should be no Israel at all. He has made that clear.

He’s a damn terrorist.

So now they're killing their own for not going full global jihad. Nice.

Seriously, this radicalism is going to need to be dealt with and the only language they know is brute force. Time to put them down.
Here lies the problem with your thinking. The Palestinian President won’t declare a full jihadist war against Israel even though Israel is bombing Gaza back to the Stone Age. Not all Palestians are Hamas, yet they are being slaughtered like they are.

Nice table. At the bottom can you please append the following:

Holds hundreds of hostagesHolds no hostages
Committed open acts of terrorismFighting to prevent open acts of terrorism
Uses human shieldsDoes not use human shields
Elected assholes who are attempting genocide of the JewsElected assholes who marginalize the Palestinians

The Israeli side is led by a group of assholes no doubt. They aren’t justified in everything, but they ARE justified in their dismantling of Hamas.

Lol.

Pure arbitrary propaganda to take a 1947 snapshot. Apparently you need a history lesson. The land of Israel has changed hands numerous times going back to antiquity. Depending on where you stop the clock the land could be claimed by many different people. The Palestinians have no more right than many other people/nations and LESS than most (despite that I am an advocate for a 2 state solution). I don’t believe you have the intelligence, independence or patience to read the entire history lesson below so allow me to summarize:

The first formative event that defined the Palestinian people was a revolt against the Ottoman empire in 1834 (by the way they lost). Before that the land was controlled by many different peoples. You can directly trace control back to the Israelites and their predecessors the Canaanites nearly 4000 years before the emergence of the Palestinian people. So stop with the bullshit propaganda. It is infantile and unhelpful.

If you actually care to absorb the history lesson read on below the line.
_________
  • 2100 BCE Canaan: this is the first historical record of a people that controlled portions of this land.
  • 1550 BCE Egypt: which itself was heavily influenced by Canaanite settlers is governing vassal Canaanite states from Gaza
  • 1200 BCE Israelites and the Philistines: Egyptian control collapses and two peoples emerge. The Israelites (genetic descendants of the Canaanites) and the Philistines (who settled the coast from Greece)
  • 1000 BCE Israel and Judah: first records the two Israelite kingdoms of Israel and Judah which control most of modern Israel including the west bank. The Philistines control Gaza in this time period.
  • 700 BCE Assyria: Assyria invades and takes control of Israel. They deport many Israelites who settle in many places, but particularly in Judah around Jerusalem.
  • Late 700’s BCE Neo-BabylonIan Empire: the next 200+ years mark a series of revolts in Judah to Babylonian control including an alliance with Egypt, many Jews were deported to Babylon during this time
  • 500 BCE Persia: Persia conquers Babylon and many Jews return from Babylon
  • 300 BCE Greece: Alexander the Great conquers most of Israel. Judah continues to be ruled by the Jews as a vassal state. Over the next 200 years much of biblical Jewish tradition is formalized and Judea solidifies as a state.
  • 64 BCE Rome: the Romans conquer Judea and it becomes a vassal kingdom to the Roman Empire. The next few hundred years are marked by periods of Jewish revolt against the Romans leading to the eventual decimation of Judea
  • 132 CE Judea Collapses, continued Roman rule: the Bar Kokhba revolt was a disaster for the Jewish people in the region resulting in enslavement, exile and death. Pay attention now: around this time Judea is renamed Syria Palestina. The Name Palestina had been used for centuries by the Greeks to refer to the Jewish people. The Romans adopted the name for the land and it is the first time the territory is known as Palestine.
  • 390 CE Christian settlement: by this time the Jewish diaspora is well underway. The Roman Empire becomes Christian and Christian pilgrims settle in Israel.
  • 635 CE Arabs: an Arab Muslim army conquers the entire region removing Roman Christian rule. The Dome of the Rock is subsequently built on Temple Mount. Over the subsequent centuries we see a migration of a Jews and a Christians away from the region and a conversion of many to Islam
  • 1099 CE the Christians are back: Jerusalem is conquered by Christians in the crusades. Control is exchanged between Christians and Muslims for the next 200 years in a series of battles and treaties.
  • 1258 Egyptian Mamluks: the area became part of the Mamluk conquest and battles with the Mongols. The Mamluks ruled for the next 250 years.
  • 1516 Ottoman Empire: the area is conquered from the Mamluks. The Ottoman Empire rules until WW1. During this time period many Jews return to the region. In 1834 we see an Arab uprising that is generally viewed as the first true formative event of the Palestinian people.
  • 1922 British rule: the British establish the mandate of Palestine under League of Nations approval. We see continued immigration of Jews into the area through WW2. This is where your map of Palestine comes into play.
  • 1947: this is where your map of Palestine ends

It’s always funny to me to see people complain about the content of a thread when they in fact are adding nothing and clogging it up with meaningless post. Despite the fact that no one forced them to read the thread. Oh the irony.

Yes. I am not a sociopath like most of the people on this thread and feel bad when anyone dies. Not just white people.

Please don't act like you have empathy. Her death is one person closer to what your goal is, and that's the extermination of all Jews.
