America about to go 3-3 in gold medals for WFS. If we win all 3, we match Japan with 4 golds.
Wow, Helen loses 3-0 and didn’t take a legit shot the entire match. Great gameplay and execution by her Japanese opponent.
Ouch. Maroulis loses 3-0.
Got bullied in the underhooks and tried to hit a limp arm from a 2-on-1. Japan was also ready for the footsweep - grabbed Helen's leg every time she attempted it.

Anyone in here a fan of giving out 2 bronze medals? I don’t understand why we can’t have a true third
It requires extra matches and doesn’t allow more countries to medal is my understanding.
Interesting observation…you can usually tell who took second by the non-verbals on the medal stand because the other three wrestlers won their last match.
High level wrestling in the womens division, They should have a US vs Japan dual. Do it in Japan who cares , grow the sport!

Not too shabby for an 18-year-old! Here is what I posted about her a few months ago: "magine the potential career of someone like Amit Elor who only turned 18 on January 1. I am anxious to see how well she does at this year's World Championships. She was not challenged at either the Cadet or Junior level last year. In 2021 she wrestled in both the Cadet and Junior World Championships, taking gold in both without being scored upon. She outscored her opponents 63-0 in winning both tournaments. Update: Since 2021 Amit has competed in four World Championships; Cadets, Juniors, U20 and Seniors. In those four world championships she outscored her opponents 131-3 with four falls. [Edit: I went back and included the points she scored in the matches where she got the fall].

I really wish Russia was in the tournament. One team being out doesn't account for the domination we're seeing. Team USA looks scary good.
I thought Russia had some representation? Like Magomedov representing Azerbaijan. I know others like Sadulaev are not competing but it's not like Russia is totally removed from Worlds. Also, they cheat like it's Mr Olympia.
