That was a gutsy win. When things started to unravel they manned up and imposed their will on Mchigan.
Dammit. I leave for 30 minutes, and everyone stole my does michigan still have a run joke.
This is a different Iowa team. Love it. It would have been easy for things to go south when Mich started reigning in 3's and took the lead in the 2nd half. In the past Iowa would have wilted and lost this game or went back and force with Mich and won an ugly one. Nope, this team answered with a barrage of 3's of their own and kept their foot on the gas. Great effort, great execution, great coaching. Nicely done Hawks. The corner has been turned, this team looks like the real deal.
Hold on, I think Michigan still has a run in them....... To the bus.
Great way to close out a good team. Wolverines will be very tough out next year. Another game of relentless defense from the Hawks.
I didn't see Michigan as a challenge going in, wow was I wrong. But this Iowa team took Michigan's best punch, then fought back. We finally have scorers. Watching Jok and Uhl's development has been awesome. Jok has turned into the player we thought he could be and Uhl looks better every game. Wagner had a good game. Baer had an off game for him shooting wise but otherwise was solid. Just a great all around solid win and you can just see the confidence in this team. Fran for Coach of the Year: Book it.
Never felt like this one was in question even with Michigans impending run.
They all manned up, but most importantly.....they 'teamed up'. Nice work Franny.
