Well folks here Iowa is sitting at 12-0, vs an 11-1 Michigan State team. MSU has the better talent top to bottom and many experts would argue the better team. The MSU OL & DL are their strengths plus Connor Cook. If Iowa doesn't pressure Cook then that is all she wrote. Also, if Iowa can't run the ball at least with some mediocre success then it's over. Hate to see it come to an end folks....

MSU - 27
Iowa - 17

I think its a knock down drag out brawl. I think both teams will try and be physical with one another and pound the rock at one another. If Connor Cook plays and is on fire, we could be in trouble. If he is off and we can stack the box, we will be able to hang in there.

Offensively we need to be able to run the ball and use play-action to get our WR open. I assume MSU will imply their usual defense (stack the box, man to man on WR) and really force CJB to beat them.

I think it will be a barn-burner:

Iowa 24
MSU 21

I think the hawks come down and kick a game winner with under a minute. Just my opinion.

I for one appreciate your weekly, douchebag posts. You have been nothing but negative all season. Thanks for keeping the streak alive.

This one will all come down to turnovers and line play. IF Iowa can win the turnover battle (which they have done all year) and their lines hold up, Iowa wins. IF MSU wins the turnover battle and their line play is better, they will win.
My head says magical run may be in jeopardy (MSU 31-27) but my heart says:

Iowa 27
MSU 20

i was there for kirks first big ten victory. Heavy underdogs vs "superior" Msu team. Kevin jasper went ape crap and we won, storming the field in exuberance.
-best play last decade? Maybe sash pick and lateral vs Msu
-Ricky stanzi last second pass to Mcnutt to beat Msu
Point is some of kirks best moments have been against the green and white.
I think this title game will top them all. CJ beathard will find a way.

Iowa 24
MSU 20

P.S. If I were the OP, after going 0/25 in his incessant chicken-little-sky-is-falling posts, I'm not sure I could show myself here, simply out of sheer embarrassment.

If we can't get pressure on cook and don't play man, which we never do, they will shred our D, much like Indiana/Maryland except to score on MSU will be more difficult than those two.

I expect coach to have some sort of coherent game plan and be able to stop their O just enough. I see this as a fairly high scoring game. Something like 34-31 iowa.

MSU will be favored but I always keep in mind something a guy at work(who played for Angelo State) whose son was the backup kicker at Texas Tech said: Keep in mind college football is a game played by 18-23 year olds. Anything can happen. We shall see.

I believe Iowa will at least score 30 points again. This will definitely be our toughest game yet. I believe Ferentz will really inspire the players to play beyond what they have been and it'll be a hard-hitting, tough as nails game that will be extremely stressful to watch.

Iowa-31 MSU-27

Who is this Kevin Jasper you speak of?

Was he lined up opposite side of the field to Kevin Kasper?

I have a bad feeling Connor Cook will pick apart the defense because they can get pressure on him. If the defense doesn't get a couple picks, and maybe a score, it will be tough sledding. I think it will be a very good, slobber knocking, old school football game.

28-24 whoever wins the TO battle (fingers crossed, Iowa)

We are not holding MSU under 20 points, we will need our offense to win this one.

It seemed to me that Hawks got better pressure against Nebraska than they had the previous 2-3 games. Was Nebraska's line worse than Purdue and Minnesota? Or did we play more aggressive on Friday? Either way, it was encouraging to see the players rotating on the DL and getting pressure on Armstrong.

If the Hawks have a decent pass rush, I like our chances!

34-25 Hawkeyes

Historically this is always a close game and history will repeat itself Saturday. I think at the end Canzeri will break a long one to send Iowa to the CFP.

Iowa: 34
MSU: 27

Fear the Wadley!! Hasn't played much last couple weeks while recovering. Dry surface where he can cut and his quickness will bust a long one!
