Good first half. Refs seem to be doing a good job and may even be giving Iowa a little edge. Would love to see another 10 minutes or so of Wagner. Maybe some of the other freshmen.

at this point the blame for end of half shots falls on Fran for not getting the ball out of Mike's hands. He fails every. single. time. He had 2 guys open for 3's on that drive and instead he drives into a charge. Just give Uthoff the ball and let him chuck a shot at the last second, can't be any worse than Mike doing what he does.

The worst part about it is he did it with 6 seconds left giving NW an opportunity. He HAS to start playing better.

Looking at the stats...anyone not named Uthoff is not shooting very well--Iowa 43.8% overall.

NW shooting 29% overall and 29.4% from three...some better defense and reversion to statistical mean for those guys.

Wagner should play more minutes in 2nd half. Was big spark.

Not to pick on Mike, but when is he ever a better option than Uthoff or Jok? This is on Fran...he did it with Devyn Marble and now with Gesell...go iso to hoop and not even look to pass.

In general I agree with you but that's all on Mike. Should have been an easy read. Reads he normally makes. Why he doesn't make the reads at the end of half's and games is beyond me. Great half though. Exactly what we all where hoping to see. Let's put this team away in the second half. No messing around. Love seeing everyone get back on track in this game. Bounce back game all around.
