Definitely need Gesell to be able to hit that mid-range jumper or that will come back to bite IA at some point.
Wagner continues to impress. Same with Uhl. Need to get him back in Fran, yea so he got a little excited on the travel but his 3-ball has been money.

Clemmons has been playing much better than Gesell lately imo. His defense is awesome.
If Jok can consistently put it on the deck like that, look the F out
Uhl's defense and rebounding has been absolutely horrible the past 3-4 games..

You can tell Jok is making a concentrated effort to take it to the rack.
I love how Uhl want to either shoot or take it to the rack every time he gets the ball it seems. It costs IA sometimes like that silly traveling call when he got caught up and Fran pulled him but love the aggressiveness.

He started season slow, but he's had a great run recently. Would say he should get more minutes at PG. Like getting both Jok and Baer in lineup.
Sapp is definitely underappreciated but I shudder to think where we would be w/out him. I don't have his numbers in front of me but he seems to be on a tear lately.
It's amazing how easy this team scores. I was shocked to see Uthoff had 10 points at half. I've been taking the offense for granted and just expecting them to put up 35 points a half. The D has been absolutely fantastic in this game. 45 points for offense at half and gave up 26. That's getting it done on both ends.
What's everybody think of a Woody Wags Uthoff Jok Clemmons lineup at times ? Seems like they would be pretty good at scoring , defense and rebounding
Defense and driving to hoop and finishing seems to come a lot more naturally to Wagner. Uhl seems to not concentrate on defense. Like both our backups, and then you have Woody who's grown at 3rd ball his senior year.
He has definitely been quietly good. Last four game stats average:

Indiana is actually playing defense this year. They closed the first half last night with a 25-0 run. The last few years, they would have been content to trade baskets when their shots were falling. I'm also wondering if Michigan has some team chemistry problems.
Probably a calculated move by Fran to try to send the message that he has confidence in Gesell and try to get him going.
Indiana is above average team this year. Offense is very good and do play good defense. Will be a battle against them this year. Think we can get it done though.
Indiana does not match up with Iowa. Yogi is everything to them and Clemmons has shut down everyone he has been put against this season. I'm honestly not worried about Indiana. They got dominated by Happ and Hayes, if Wisky could hit anything outside it would have been a double digit win for them.
