The end of this 1st half got ugly real fast. Haas and Swanigan dominated us in the post and Purdue's 3 point shooting was ridiculous.

Whats the point of running to play defense when purdue closes their eyes and fling up 3s. Hate basketball like that.
Thought we played tougher...even smarter. Purdue knows how to play smart and tough also. We can come back. Cook is getting comfortable. I see progress.
Purdue is 7-12 from 3, which is ridiculously good; iowa is just 2-6
Whats crazy is Iowa has made 4 more overall FGs (18-14)
Purdue is 12-13 on FTs and Iowa is 0-5 in FTs;
hard to win games when you are getting dominated from the 3 pt line and FT line
Oh but it's all the rage nowadays, especially at the high school level. The precedent has been set......
Love Pemsl's toughness. He ain't gonna back down. We really played well in first half, but Purdue isn't going to lose to us if they are hitting 3 pointers and we are missing free throws.
Hard to shoot ft's when the don't call fouls on Purdue as well.
Aside from the final 2 minutes I am very encouraged by Iowa's play. This has been a great game and as long as we keep attacking the rim we'll be ok. Even if the game gets away from us tonight this is a tough, tough Purdue team and Iowa is (was) going toe-to-toe with them for much of the first half. Love this team!
It's not hard to hit threes when your wide open... I could shoot at least 30% with the open looks they would give me
Iowa is a much better team than they were a few weeks ago,that is for sure; the future looks bright; replacing Jok might be hard tho
Purdue is not that good people... they are good but not as good as we are letting them look. Iowa has given them such good looks at the basket all they have to do is shoot the ball.

I missed the first Iowa/Purdue game and haven't seen Purdue play yet this year.
I'm pretty impressed. Yes, Iowa has made some mistakes defensively, but Purdue is playing pretty well. As people have mentioned, 12/13 from FT is pretty damn good too.
If Iowa can slow them down in the 2nd Half, Hawks have a chance.

I am getting pretty annoyed with the officiating. Ticky tack fouls against Iowa and Purdue allowed to grab and mug around the perimeter.
And was Swanigan's foot in the restricted area? WTF? Not to mention he slid in late.
