***** Official Summer League Thread. Keegan nails his first shot as a King. A 3 pointer.*****

Serious question- Do the Kings shut him down for the rest of the Summer League?

What is the norm for Lottery picks when it comes to Summer League?
I don't know for sure, but in Keegan's situation where he wants to learn and keep improving, it would be a shame to shut him down. I can't remember if Cade played in the summer league or not. But, he was a no. 1 pick.
I think we'll see Keegan in the games coming up.

I would imagine the Kings want to see him playing in their offense as much as possible, too

IIRC, Cade didn't play in all of last year's Summer League games

Huerter was a fantastic pick-up for them. Solid roster. I've mentioned before but I think they'll be fighting for a playoff spot
Their offense and shooting should be much improved, but looks like defense could still be a major issue

i wasn't sure what to think about the playoff play in games but now that the NBA has done it a few years, it seems to be a huge success
I've been watching what seems like a ton of Kings podcasts ala James Ham, Deuce and Mo, Sactown Sports, D-Lo & KC, and of course our biggest Keegan fan, Matt George from "Locked on Kings". The vibes are getting better, not only for Keegan, but for the team as well, following the additions of Malik Monk and Kevin Heurter. They are possibly picking up Sasha Vezenkov, 6'9 power forward from the Greek League. Just saw that Vezenkov will not meet with the Kings during the Summer League, but could still be offered by Sac.
Fans are hungry in Sac Town, and I think the skepticism is waning and optimism is higher than previous years. Fox and Sabonis will have shooters to go to, and Barnes can focus on playing the 3 rather than playing both the 3 and 4.

Great updates

I have not watched a Kings game in ages. That obviously will change this fall

Garza not exactly having his best game tonight. Moving a lot better due to the lost weight and improved defensively, but not enough to overcome the lack of offensive production. First game with this squad though - he’ll turn it around

Keegan has a great looking shot, to be honest. The word "Intrigue" has been used by a few analysts that I've read or heard. It seems as though they are afraid to use other terms. Give him some credit. Goodness.

yeah, it's been interesting to see the reactions to how he's played over these last 3 games

Sports Center last night was discussing Summer League debuts. They only listed the top 3 picks and Keegan's debut was much better than all 3. So, why did they leave Keegan out of the discussion? It's just bizarre.

I think I watched that. Yeah, it's pitiful. Or maybe they just focused on the top 3? I don't know. Watching some of the Spurs action (from time to time), and saw Weezy.
