*****OFFICIAL TRUMP CRIMINAL TRIAL THREAD*****

I’ll be surprised if this mofo makes it to November without a stroke, heart attack or psychotic breakdown.

Looking rough!

Strongly suspect we're gonna get multiple counts of gag order violations @ $1k a pop, along with a warning that we're "out of mulligans" and the next one will result in incarceration for a weekend (or more), with further violations resulting in incarceration until the trial is completed.

Blanche wasn't holding a winning hand, here, and knows his client violated the directions, but is powerless to impress upon Trump how serious things are. Only way that gets conveyed by the judge is to bring down the hammer for a "sample" run....

Problem is that Trump has to last until Thursday. To keep his mouth shut. And then keep it shut until June.

It's an almost lock that Trump will have to take the stand. Peckers testimony was damning. He confirmed that there was a conspiracy to interfere with the election. And from here on out it looks unlikely that any future witnesses will cast doubt on this theory. Trump won't have a choice. Either he sits and lets all this election interference testimony go unchallenged. Or he takes the stand to give his side of things.

AMI did things to help Trump that were not in the best interest of AMI. Pecker and others communicated about helping Trump in his efforts to win the WH. Trump's lawyers can try and destroy Cohen when he takes the stand, but it's the testimony of Pecker and the people in on the scam who will get Trump convicted. Pecker didn't lie for Trump. Hope Hicks is young and hot, she isn't going to lie for Trump. Sending Pecker out first helped to solidify the prosecution before Cohen testifies, and I think he's going to put some people on warning that they've been fingered as having done things, and lying or forgetting isn't in their best interest.

That might be doctored, but many people covering the case who have known Trump since 2015 and before have commented that he looks haggard and tired, his hair is thinning, and that he's dropped a lot of weight recently.

Yep, I'm catching up on what happened today. Trump is screwed.

Trump's defense was incredibly flimsy to begin with: "Yes, he did all of this. Yes he cheated on his wife. Yes he tried to pay the mistress off to stay quiet. Yes, he directed his lawyer to make the payment. Yes, he falsified records to do so. But none of this was illegal."

He's in deep doo doo. And not just the stuff he's sitting on while he takes naps in court.

I think he will try to say he pardoned himself when he was president. Or he has supreme immunity.

So you believe all 12 on that jury are going to vote to convict Trump?

There are two basic elements that must be satisfied. 1. That there was a prior crime. Looks like we have that with Trump falsifying records when he directed Cohen to pay Stormy off and hiding this payment as legal fees. And 2. That this prior crime was done to interfere with the election. This is precisely what Pecker testified about today. He specifically said all of this was done in service of Trump's campaign. Trump's screwed.
