One of the neat things about tennis is how the players warm each other up...right before trying to embarrass each other. The civility is refreshing.

Sort of crazy that now for the chronological majority of Serena’s life she has been at the top of her sport. Great worker and competitor.

That's because one is far and away the GOAT and the other just won her second Grand Slam at the age of 27.
Great class showed by Serena. Wonderful representative of the USA. Such class and grace in a rough defeat.
Okay, I just don't understand why people hate ESPN. It's the best network in the last 40 years and the ones that hate it are the same people that watch it the most.
ESPN is an American company and Serena is an American.
I get why this can rub someone wrong, but people should consider it’s not an ESPN thing—the tour is a traveling family and those announcers are reacting to watching their friend/associate/colleague of over 20 years, someone they watched grow up and likely mentored on some level, wind down her career.
These are human beings with human being relationships.
