I don’t know about anyone else but I get absolutely jacked for the next few days. I will watch every single match I can just to soak up the last of the season. This year I’m generally nervous for Lee, idk what he is feeling but it’s gotta be weighing on him so heavy for what he’s trying to do. Almost go time!

I think Lee said he gets nervous prior to every match but looks like it goes away when the whistle blows. Has to be alot of pressure but I dont know a better wrestler for overcoming things. I do know he will approach one match at a time and then on to the next thing.

Im such a wrestling nerd, for the past 20 years or so, I print out two brackets. I fill out 1 set and then watch live on ESPNU and then have live updates streaming on my phone filling out my other brackets as I go. Then I compare to see how close I got when it’s all over. I’ve got the Hawks with 6 AAs, hopefully I undersold them

I'm also at 6, and like you am hoping I undersold them. They need to bring it this year. Placements in the brackets are insane!

Ido which 6 but I see 6 as well. Anything beyond that and I’ll be pretty surprised, just the way the brackets lay out it’ll be tough.

can't sleep, to pumped. I'm watching all of Spencer's matches from this year, some of the stuff he does SMH it's just completely next level. Looking forward to the Hawks having a great tournament and some really great wrestling overall this NCAAs. Going through the brackets again and I cannot remember any year where I was looking forward to so many non Hawkeye matches. Safe travels to all the Teams, families and fans. I wish I was there this year, and a big GO HAWKS!!!

I'm with you, Grip. Tried to sleep but too amped up for the next three days. Best time of year imo. Now I'm back to building cabinets in the garage to do something with all this energy. Put me down for seven Hawks to AA. Looks to be a super entertaining tournament. Give em hell Hawks!!

Good stuff, what's nuts about this is I need custom cabinets made for my living room next to my wood burning stove. Where are you located, I would gladly give the work to a Hawkeye fan first.

I am by no means an expert carpenter, just do a lot of small projects on my own in an old farmhouse built in 1912. I'm putting together some simple cabinets to hang in my garage for storage, but you probably don't want me anywhere near your nice finished space.

FWIW I'm just outside of Iowa City in Washington County. If you're close, I know some good carpenters. We also have two wood burners and split a lot of wood, so I'm always happy to talk wood burners.

Had a grand daughter born last week in Washington. Baby decided not to wait for the drive to Iowa City so ambulance had to take her to Washington ER. They were a little low on equipment but it worked out just fine. They live in Richland. Our student assistant athletic trainer is also from Washington.
Do you have outdoor burners or regular wood stoves? I have a Fisher Papa Bear and Grandpa Bear stove. They're big enough to burn taco yotas to ashes if anyone wants to drop off that slimy bastard. I recently put the papa bear in a sauna I built. Overkill but I wasn't using it since I moved.

If you’re close to the CB Omaha area, I have a good friend that builds high end cabinetry. He is a Hawk fan but spent some time at Illinois and UNI on the mats years ago

Hope your granddaughter is doing well and congrats! Washington is a neat little town, fighting off the small town decline better than most these days. We have an Encore stove in the house, and it's very efficient. Have an old Timberline in an out building and it is less so. I reckon it could fit one half of a taco yota, but I don't think I want that residue building up in my flue. No outdoor burners yet, but it's something I've been considering. I would love to know more about the sauna you built. I've been looking at electric/infrared, but haven't pulled the trigger.

The timberlines are old school like the Fishers I believe. Not efficient at all but will burn anything. A lot of guys will make homemade baffles to make them more efficient by allowing for a secondary burn. I have built 2 electric saunas and this wood stove sauna. Let me know if you have any questions. I can post my email if you want.

Funny you mentioned taco boy. That sounds like a great day...grilled taco and some enjoyable wrestling! :) I'm always curious why guys (if he is a guy) do that kind of crap, where they wake up one day, discover they have absolutely no life, and then see if they can annoy those of us who do have a life. As much as I feel sorry for the poor kid (I'm thinking about 12 years old, maybe 13), I wouldn't be too disappointed if someone duct taped his hands for the weekend so we wouldn't have to read his idiot comments.

This is crazy. I'm visiting my son in Dallas, TX. He designs cabinets. They have built cabinets for some high profile people. If you move to Texas (LOL) I'll get you in touch.

Honestly, I am putting all my energy toward SL winning his 4th. That's more important that anything. I hope everyone does well, but mostly want Spencer to get his fourth.
so 9 champs and spencer 2nd is worse than spencer 1st and 9 dnp

Yep, the Timberline is at least 50 years old. It can hold a ridiculous amount of wood but it burns it up fast. I'd love to hear about adding a secondary burn and saunas too. I'll send you a message after the dust settles this weekend. Go Hawks!

Can we somehow turn this into positive Karma for the Hawks! I say yes and we have your son build a cabinet for Tom’s new office. Go Hawks
