Who thinks Meyer still has a job this afternoon?

With all the scandals breaking these days at OSU I would hope not, but winning and $$$ are a hell of a drug.

nothing with any special inside knowledge on the Bucs board, but the general opinion is he'll be reinstated. (how much it's based on wishful thinking vs any real info is hard to say)

They'll sell their soul for the snake-oil salesman to return this season, to their own detriment. Urban is a class A flake and this won't be the last time he embarrasses himself and his employer. I hope they crash and burn as a result. I believe Urban will be dodging dildos all season during their road games.

I read a few days ago (sorry, no link) that folks in Columbus were saying Meyer's "punishment" would be "time served"--these last two weeks or so when he was suspended. That's probably what will happen, and things will return to "normal" at THE OSU.

Taking into account the involved parties, I would be surprised if he is removed.

They will clear him of any wrongdoing and he will not miss a game. Meyer will have a build-in excuse for when they don't go to the playoffs again.

Oh, he'll still have a job ... Some people are willing to overlook anything when a coach is filling the stadium and competing for national championships (i.e. see Louisville football) ... I said in another post, if Urban was 7-5, 6-6, 7-5 the past three seasons ... he would be gone ... It's ALL ABOUT WINNING.

80% he misses no games and it's business as usual in Columbus.
19% he misses 2 games and is back for the important TCU game.
1% he resigns due to health reasons and spending time with family.
0% they do the correct thing and can him.

I'll wager 90% he misses 1-2 games.
7% he misses 3 games.
3% he misses 0 games.
0% he misses 4+ games or is fired.

Bonus: 100% he is given a vote of confidence and their AD "steps down".

The only reason to suspend him is to try and look better if you think logically. If he did like he said in terms of reporting it up the chain when he knew and followed the school guidelines as approved by the NCAA and also fired the coach then he should get nothing and Gene Smith is on the chopping block. He will explain his little white lie from the Big 10 media days away. If he knew it all and attempted to cover it up, he should be fired. They will probably split the baby and give him a game or 2 and state that he wasn't up front when it first came to light to justify the suspension No way he misses the TCU game.

This is where I'm at. He'll get a game or two, and give a press conference saying, "I let down the school, my team, my family, and most of all our amazing fans as a Christian. I should have done more, and for that I'm sorry and I accept the results of the committee."

Followed by Gene Smith "stepping down".

His wife is totally getting fired.

I think Ohio State and Meyer are going their separate ways. I could be completely wrong too. My thoughts are they’re putting tough stipulations on how Meyer handles his staff/program moving forward. Urban is such an egomaniac/control freak, he can’t handle the stipulations and steps down. I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night

Former O$u President Gordon Gee hit the nail on the head when he said he hoped Jim Tressell didn’t fire him. By that I mean he exposed who really runs the show in Columbus; the head football coach. If Urban doesn’t want to serve a suspension, then Urban will not serve a suspension. If Gene Smith and the rest of Urban’s “superiors” can convince him that a minor slap on the wrist is the better PR move, then he might agree to sit out one game. No more.

I heard they are using this time to print up tank top undershirts with their new motto's. OHIO STATE, WE BEAT 'EM in a blood dripping font. They expect these to fly off the shelves when Urban is absolved of all blame.

Pardon the poor taste, but it's pretty obvious no one at OSU has any desire to address to address the issues that existed in the program. I fully expect them to go into MSU mode and act like nothing happened. If this is what your university stands for you might as well promote it.
