You came to the Iowa board to bitch about the officiating? 🤦5 fouls on Maryland and Purdue is attacking the paint. This is incredible.
No, I was building on someone else and this game is over, so just reading at this point. Not interested in watching rugby. You came to the Iowa board to bitch about the officiating? 🤦
Yeah this game has been pretty egregious. Way of the road for many, but this has been lopsided. No, I was building on someone else and this game is over, so just reading at this point. Not interested in watching rugby.
This isn't basketball. Purdue wins the last 2 with a somewhat even whistle. CrazyYeah this game has been pretty egregious. Way of the road for many, but this has been lopsided.
C'mon. Purdue doesn't win this game no matter the officiating. Purdue probably wins the NW game with better officiating though. Life on the road in the Big Ten is hard and unfair at times (for example Minnesota had only 3 fouls called against them in the second half against Iowa with 1 minute to play on Sunday, despite Iowa being the aggressor). This isn't basketball. They don't? Purdue consistently attacked the paint, got fouled, and missed because they got fouled. Slows the game down a ton and Maryland never gets to runC'mon. They don't. The Big Ten race did just get a bit more interesting, as the announcers mentioned. They don't? Purdue consistently attacked the paint, got fouled, and missed because they got fouled. Slows the game down a ton and Maryland never gets to run
Is guess nu loses two more if I was a betting man. Purdue loses one more. I'm still not worriedThey don't. The Big Ten race did just get a bit more interesting, as the announcers mentioned.

Why, because I hate rugby? I've complained two games, last two, and I'm correct. It's not complaining, it's a fact. Offense goes through edey and Edey gets mauled. Makes Purdue not great. If you can't see the big ten has a red problem, you are blind. It lost on an offensive foul not called last night. Osu lost to rutger on a bad call. It's an issue.Congrats you have now reached Iowa State fan level.
Purdue was outscored 43-26 in the second half. Do you honestly believe that happened because of the officials? They don't? Purdue consistently attacked the paint, got fouled, and missed because they got fouled. Slows the game down a ton and Maryland never gets to run
I've not been mad all year at losses. Last two have been maddening.Purdue is pretty meh after Edey. Those young guards werent gonna win all these away games.
The fouling was insane. Sorry @BoilerN that mustve been brutal to watch.
Maryland home court is unreal. Northwestern has some crazy rocking student section as well. At Iowa, we have Gary Barta and the dark corners of Carver.
Purdue got frustrated and gave up imo. The Gillis tech was how the entire team felt. Just before that, edey had the ball and his right arm was held so badly, he wasn't able to collect it, allowing Maryland to steal for a transition 3. He was fouled twice in the post on shots. Newman I think was fouled on a drive early. Nothing there. I think they just got pissed because that's two straight games.Purdue was outscored 43-26 in the second half. Or wouldn't have happened if it weren't for the way the game was officiated?
You know who would be more interested in this?Purdue got frustrated and gave up imo. The Gillis tech was how the entire team felt. Mute me then. This is a thread about other games and Purdue discussion was being had. Do you not like them passing about Purdue either? Or is it just me because my name says boiler? You know who would be more interested in this?
Other Purdue fans....on their board.
Defense matters.so now everyone can beat Purdue but Iowa?
Has anyone beat PU at home?so now everyone can beat Purdue but Iowa?
Its fine until you went full on homer.Mute me then. This is a thread about other games and Purdue discussion was being had. Do you not like them passing about Purdue either? Or is it just me because my name says boiler?
Rutger by 1 with no student section. 3 of purdues last 4 are at home.Has anyone beat PU at home?
Never said they did. But saying the refs haven't been kind to Purdue the last two games isn't gone. It's a fact. Others on this board have agreed. Watch the last two and tell me they were called remotely well. Its fine until you went full on homer.
I can't stand it when Iowa fans do that either.
Purdue did not lose that game because of the reffs.

I enjoy it. We are all big ten fans really.Dont mind them, i post on all the boards as well.
As an Iowa fan, I DO believe the refs can swing a game that much. They have so much power to dictate the flow of a game, not to mention he get guys in foul trouble and interrupt the flow. Things can snowball quickly in basketball.Purdue was outscored 43-26 in the second half. Do you honestly believe that happened because of the officials?

FYI, as a long-time Hawkeye fan, I have felt the same way in about half of the other arenas in the B1G, including Mackey. Purdue has gotten more than their share of home cooking over the years. I wish it weren't that way, but it has been for several decades. This isn't basketball. Purdue wins the last 2 with a somewhat even whistle. Crazy
edit...The B1G allows basketball games to break out at rugby matches. It's been a problem for many years.Nothing new going on here, college basketball allows overly physical defense and has for the last 20+ years.
