Yeah this game has been pretty egregious. Way of the road for many, but this has been lopsided.
This isn't basketball. Purdue wins the last 2 with a somewhat even whistle. Crazy
C'mon. Purdue doesn't win this game no matter the officiating. Purdue probably wins the NW game with better officiating though. Life on the road in the Big Ten is hard and unfair at times (for example Minnesota had only 3 fouls called against them in the second half against Iowa with 1 minute to play on Sunday, despite Iowa being the aggressor).
They don't? Purdue consistently attacked the paint, got fouled, and missed because they got fouled. Slows the game down a ton and Maryland never gets to run

Nothing new going on here, college basketball allows overly physical defense and has for the last 20+ years.

Why, because I hate rugby? I've complained two games, last two, and I'm correct. It's not complaining, it's a fact. Offense goes through edey and Edey gets mauled. Makes Purdue not great. If you can't see the big ten has a red problem, you are blind. It lost on an offensive foul not called last night. Osu lost to rutger on a bad call. It's an issue.
Purdue was outscored 43-26 in the second half. Do you honestly believe that happened because of the officials?

Purdue got frustrated and gave up imo. The Gillis tech was how the entire team felt. Just before that, edey had the ball and his right arm was held so badly, he wasn't able to collect it, allowing Maryland to steal for a transition 3. He was fouled twice in the post on shots. Newman I think was fouled on a drive early. Nothing there. I think they just got pissed because that's two straight games.

Never said they did. But saying the refs haven't been kind to Purdue the last two games isn't gone. It's a fact. Others on this board have agreed. Watch the last two and tell me they were called remotely well.
Turnovers late lost nu. Lack of composure and mounting frustration lost this game.
As an Iowa fan, I DO believe the refs can swing a game that much. They have so much power to dictate the flow of a game, not to mention he get guys in foul trouble and interrupt the flow. Things can snowball quickly in basketball.
FYI, as a long-time Hawkeye fan, I have felt the same way in about half of the other arenas in the B1G, including Mackey. Purdue has gotten more than their share of home cooking over the years. I wish it weren't that way, but it has been for several decades.
Tennessee beat #1 Alabama the other night on Tennessee's home court. The officiating was atrocious like in the Big Ten and they would not call fouls on Tennessee just like in the Big Ten. It was ridiculous. So, it is happening everywhere. Good luck at beating a home team in the Big 10 and SEC.
Unfortunately, 3 of the Hawks remaining games are away. IU and Wisky are notoriously difficult places to win, although Wisky isn't as good as they have been recently. NW has been playing really good BB, but maybe the Hawks can catch them in a down game after a series of highs.
edit...The B1G allows basketball games to break out at rugby matches. It's been a problem for many years.
