Other games.

Feel like a complete and total asshole for saying this, let alone thinking it, but Hawks need a Michigan win tonight.

(despite how much I usually dislike Izzo and his teams, it feels so utterly wrong to root against MSU after what happened)

Nevada is at Utah State tonight. Nevada's 7 foot center is currently 6/6 from 3 and scored Nevada's first 22 points.
Have seen a select few brackets out there lately that have Iowa matched with Nevada [Alford] in a 6/11 first round game.

But not as many times as Iowa gets matched with West Virginia [JoeT] in a 6/11 or 7/10 game.

Yeah, I know, MSU strong, but get that little troll, Izzo, off of the court. I'm pretty sure he touched the arm of the ref once, and bumped him from behind as he leaned in to scream at him.

Jim Jackson can be a tool. But still probably kinda ticked after Iowa beat his already crappy Bucks down on Thursday.

Twice they showed the B1G standings, and talked about everyone in that top group EXCEPT Iowa.

Then again, not many of the analysts do - unless Iowa is one the teams playing.

Sucks for the Spartan community, but great result for Iowa by Michigan winning tonight.

Other than Wisky choking vs Rutgers earlier today and Purdue getting another road loss @ Maryland, this week (so far) has gone exactly the way was needed for the Hawks' bid at the double-bye for the BTT.

Hummel gives Iowa props regularly. He loves the way Iowa spaces and moves the ball on offense, and has multiple shooters. Bardo also seems to like and respect the Hawks. He was on some very good Illannoy teams, but never won in Iowa City.

UM taking down MSU was enjoyable. Izzo called time with a few seconds left to yell at his team on the court. It is amazing how much my opinion of the little troll dropped over the years.

The fight for a double bye in the BTT should be a lot of fun to watch. Hawks can put themselves in a strong position with a win tomorrow. GO HAWKS!

Too bad the season doesn't end after the game tomorrow night, should Iowa win.

There would be a 3-way tie at 10-6 for the 2-seed in the BTT, and Iowa would own the tiebreaker vs NW & Indiana with a 3-0 record vs both teams combined.

OSU vs PU:
Boilers getting their mojo back with bucks in the house

Bucks start well but melt in 2nd half.
Sensebaugh. Is a ant Edwards starter kit...go pro young man.

Nebraska up 7 at the half against Maryland. Would certainly help out Iowa for both BTT seeding and for actual tournament seeding (Maryland is a 6 in most brackets at the moment).

Is guess nu loses two more if I was a betting man. Purdue loses one more. I'm still not worried
Not sure what Purdue did to get officiating like those 2 games. Their shooting was off but when you get mugged in the paint with no calls it's ridiculous. Kris Murray is always getting mugged with no calls and Rebraca is a bit too but not like Murray. Did Painter piss off some officials or ger Greene in a couple straight games? Got no hate for nw or Maryland but poorly reffed. Can our big officials get training in the off season or at least review games and get critiquing? Big has the money for ir and I'm sick of big teams having to make huge adjustments as soon as the tournament starts.

And once again the big 12 is overrated. I'll stick by this until proven right or wrong in the tournament and why is isu rated so high in the bracketology? Give me a break.

“Once again”? Haven’t they won the last two national championships? And didn’t it go something like 12-7 in the ncaa last year? What do you mean “once again”???

I mean I've said it this year a few times. I wasn't referring to any season but this one. Calm is good. The tournament will see if I'm right or wrong.

And what has happened this season to prove that is the case? You can keep saying it, but the Big 12 has a very decisively better resume than literally every other conference.

This is a few days old, but here was losses outside of Q1 for each league:

Big 12 11
Big 10 42
Pac 12 66
ACC 86

Big 12 averages 1.1 loss outside of Q1 per team. That’s ridiculous. Big 10 is more like 3-4. Pac 12 like 6. ACC like 7-8 PER TEAM.

What's that same stat for non conference? That's why i think that. I have been wrong before but just don't think so this year. Said the opposite last season.

No idea. That would take a while to compile but I’m sure it would reflect just fine on the Big 12.

I can say the B12 won the SEC challenge 7-3, while the B10 lost to the garbage ACC in that one. So that’s another data point. It’s actually nearly impossible to find one that doesn’t favor the Big 12.

I'm busy right now but in key games big 12 looked worse than they arw getting credit for. Also the match-up in the acc challenge was garbage. I think the big will do better in the tournament than the big 12. Jmo. I could be wrong, I'm not saying I'm for sure but really do think this year the big 12 is overrated. If I'm wrong come back and you can say i told you so and i won't be offended.

Those ads for the upcoming women's & men's BTTs .....

Is that 'logo' gonna be a new halfcourt logo for those floors?

Holy crud, if so. Don't get me wrong, I have wanted an update to the previous logo for YEARS now, figuring that a new look could not get worse, but I mistakenly forgot the B1G's ability to underperform expectations.

Congrats on yet another beat-down L for the Clowns last night. Looking forward to many more L’s for the overrated little 12 come tourney time.

Funny username though…..considering there’s only one county in the entire state with more Moo U fans. Almost as pathetic as some of your players claiming the title of TEU after covid year…..did a Clown even have an NFL catch this season??

Was doing a bit of work on looking ahead at next year's Big Ten rosters and Penn State is going to graduate: Pickett, Funk, Wynter, Henn, and Dread. 5 of their top 9 are covid seniors. If Lundy decides to not utilize his covid year, the cupboards are going to be very bare next season.

On the contrast, Purdue could return their entire starting lineup and all but 1 of their rotation players.

Not really the right thread for his, but Holtmann was at least a couple feet out on the floor coaching during live action, and no T for being outside 'the box'.

Just saying that its funny that something like that is allowed without a hint of even a warning, but Fran was T'd up for supposedly doing the same the other night @ NW, in terms of having 'left the coaching box' - only not as far out on the floor as Holtmann was.
