Suck it Purdue. Don't like their style of basketball.
Indiana looks like the B1Gs most dangerous NCAA tournament team right now.
Indiana looks like the B1Gs most dangerous NCAA tournament team right now.
Iowa on the road though is the great equalizer. Their lack of defense and shooting challenges outside of Carver . Both teams come off emotional wins. Will see how they react. You would think IU would be a heavy favorite in Bloomington, but IU has lost so many heartbreaking games to the Hawks the past few years that their fans fear us. Thompson still isn't healthy, but they have a lot of talent.
Glad we got Maryland when we did. They’re playing well right now.Maryland has Northwestern out of sorts right now. 55-46 Maryland
They're basically the same as Iowa--they are atrocious on the road. They've won 2 road games all season: Minnesota and Louisville--maybe the 2 worst power 6 teams.Glad we got Maryland when we did. They’re playing well right now.
We put 86 on them. They will give up 3s with all the doubling they do.Maryland is MSU-hot right now from 3. Thought NW had a vaunted defense this year....gee maybe on any given nite a team like MD or MSU can just shoot lites out vs an Iowa or NW,huh.
Shooting happens....
Home vs away gameCan someone explain this Quad 1,2, etc. thing to me please?
How can Rutgers be both Quad 1 and Quad 2?
Q1 and Q2 is a metric used to assure P6 teams with losing conference records can be justified for getting selected to NCAA basketball tournament. Keeps potential regular season champs like drake and Bradley out of tournament. Just my rant😐Can someone explain this Quad 1,2, etc. thing to me please?

I’m a Drake fan and I agree but anything is better than the stupid RPI.Q1 and Q2 is a metric used to assure P6 teams with losing conference records can be justified for getting selected to NCAA basketball tournament. Mid-Majors with At-Large births since the NCAA moved to the NET system:Q1 and Q2 is a metric used to assure P6 teams with losing conference records can be justified for getting selected to NCAA basketball tournament. I would like for it to work for smaller schools. If it does, great.Mid-Majors with At-Large births since the NCAA moved to the NET system:
2019: VCU, UCF, Temple, Belmont, Nevada
2021: VCU, Wichita St, Drake, BYU, Utah St
2022: Memphis, Davidson, St Mary's, San Francisco, Wyoming, Colorado St, San Diego St
17 total
Compare that to the last 3 tournaments of using RPI:
2018: Nevada, St Bonaventure, Wichita St, Rhode Island
2017: St Mary's, VCU, Cincinatti, Dayton
2016: Wichita St, VCU, Cincinatti, Dayton, Tulsa
13 total
One could argue with looking at this that the NET has improved the chances of mid-majors getting NCAA at-large bids.
Yes I don't know what perfect answer is.I’m a Drake fan and I agree but anything is better than the stupid RPI.
For reference, Nevada is #5 is RPI and Iowa is #67
Yeah all of these teams are American, A10, MWC, WCC, and MVC teams. That's almost always been true because the strength of schedule component for leagues below this are just so low it's tough to gauge how good they are. Florida Atlantic and Charleston should be interesting case studies this year if they both lose the auto-bid.I would like for it to work for smaller schools. If it does, great.
Michigan and Wisconsin down to the wire.
I’ll casually root for Michigan just because Wisconsin sucks so hard.
It actually would have (probably) really helped Iowa if Michigan lost, but ...........Someone please tell me the Wisconsin win actually helps Iowa so that it doesn’t ruin my Sunday.
I was kind of thinking that but I’d love for Wisconsin to miss the tourney or have to play day 1 in BTT so happy to see gard and his hackers lose. Where right now at 8-10 with Nebraska who has tie breaker over them but they have it over psu who would be 8-10 if they lose against Rutgers later. It actually would have (probably) really helped Iowa if Michigan lost, but ...........
FVCK WISCONSIN!!!!!
[really hope this loss keeps the Badgers out of the NCAA-T]
I’d love to get Wisconsin in the BTT. I think we’d destroy them.I was kind of thinking that but I’d love for Wisconsin to miss the tourney or have to play day 1 in BTT so happy to see gard and his hackers lose. But with Michigan their last 2 games are at Indiana and Illinois so can easily see them losing both.
