In PA parents usually. I don’t know if it's different in Iowa or not.Where does a college kid get the money to buy a cow, butcher it, ship and freeze it? 😂😂
is this a common practice in PA, college kids buying entire cows, etc?In PA parents usually. I don’t know if it's different in Iowa or not.
Nowadays it could be with NIL money.
Not necessarily directed at you, but this is not a big deal. He bought a bunch of meat and ate it in an effort to get bigger. It's not a big deal, people do it all the time, stop making it into a big deal.is this a common practice in PA, college kids buying entire cows, etc?
Don't know. I could see if someone would take a poll though.is this a common practice in PA, college kids buying entire cows, etc?
It's common all over the midwest. We buy 1/2 a cow every spring.is this a common practice in PA, college kids buying entire cows, etc?
Unfortunately I bought a cow while I was in college. Should have put her in the freezer. Would have been cheaper than the divorce.is this a common practice in PA, college kids buying entire cows, etc?
I don’t know anyone who buys an entire cow. Halves and quarters were what we usually ordered.is this a common practice in PA, college kids buying entire cows, etc?

You must be huge and not in a good way. Barr gained 20lbs of muscle with one cow — and intense workouts. Doubtful you train like that. And, a cow + plus a big every week. You should have your own reality tv show.Don't know. I could see if someone would take a poll though.
My wife and I get a cow and a pig butchered every year.

Did Aaron Brooks buy a cow from Kasak’s dad too
People have families to feed my guy. A cow plus hog ain’t crazy.
A year, not weekly. But nevermind. Just continue with your silly routine of being the bitter smuck because some college kid can afford something that as a working adult you can't.You must be huge and not in a good way. If it works why aren’t we doing it….is this a common practice in PA, college kids buying entire cows, etc?
So, I’m picturing farmers producing special batches of cows shot full of growth hormones and performance enhancing substances for the next level of plausible deniability….If it works why aren’t we doing it….
Nah…Quarter beef only about $350-$400.With a 1/4 going for over $1K butchered these days a whole cow is pretty pricey for the average midwestern college student.
I don't know where you buy your quarters from. You should get roughly 125-150 lbs of meat out of a quarter. For less than $3.00 a lb in cost?! I doubt it. The processing alone is $150-$200 around here for a quarter. I buy 2 or 3 quarters a year for years now and have never done it for less than $600 with processing. Just bought one last week and paid $750 for the quarter at $3.00 per lb hanging weight. I will have at least $900 in it after processing, which is the most ever for me.Nah…Quarter beef only about $350-$400.

That's more like it. We got a couple 4 years ago for $500-600. The 1/2 we bought in '22 or '23 was $1500. The one (1/4) we bought this year was just over $1000 with processing, and that was buying from family.I don't know where you buy your quarters from. SwineI know Morningstar farms. Does he have cattle? Dairy or beef?

At least we know we won't have to fight MALOS for their business.
I paid the the Amish family we buy our milk and eggs from $2.50/lb. for a 1/2 beef(402lbs) 2 months ago.I just bought a full beef couple weeks ago. Locker charged my $600 it was an Amish guy in kalona and I doubt you could find one cheaper. The beef itself was a little over $3500 for the full.
Haha! Gotta mix in some fatty beef big dog. All my burger recipes are 1/2 venison 1/2 beef. I don’t like to add fat to my ground venison.i figured you ate deer meat and morel mushrooms all year
You forgot the most important, gobblersi figured you ate deer meat and morel mushrooms all year
I’m not following your maths….I just bought a full beef couple weeks ago. Locker charged my $600 it was an Amish guy in kalona and I doubt you could find one cheaper. The beef itself was a little over $3500 for the full.
I paid the farmer $3500 for a full cow. I think the hanging weight was around 800 lbs.I’m not following your maths….
