PD3 Goes at Schwab

In wrestling we will kill them every time. Just don’t have Tom or Terry challenge Doug to a Homerun Derby. My money could be on Schwab.

Have you seen M*? He's far better than Schwab. They want no part of the HR Derby with us. TnT aren't too shabby either. Terry will knock quite a few dingers himself.

So to sum up my point, they are better than us at nothing...absolutely nothing.

When is McRiblet expected to make his appearance for the hawks?
I'm not sure about this but I believe he can wrestle for Iowa after first semester finals. So we may see him at midlands. I could be wrong and he can't start wrestling until classes start 2nd semester. So that would be after the new year.

Technically correct, although he has to be admitted into the university first. So this could take a day or two, or more, depending on the calendar - I have no idea what the academic schedule at ISU looks like nor am I going to look it up.

But the gist of it is correct, first semester just needs to end, 2nd semester does not need to start.

Well, that doesn't work. Iowa wrestlers are too highborn to set foot in that rubber suit of hot hellness. I would make my boy camp out for front row at that one.

Pretty sure I watched Iowa vs UNI in the West Gym back in the mid 80’s and I’m pretty sure that’s where Schwab expects the next dual to be held. And that’s the problem, imo.

December 15th is PDIII Day.

I am a little biased my kids train at UNI and my youngest rolls with Schwab's boys. We are season ticket holders and I don't think anyone could be around the UNI program and dislike any of them.

I'll tell what's scary about the West Gym. Sitting in the first row when Taylor Lujan is wrestling. The dude could end up in your lap he is all over the place with his funk.

We were displaced in last years flood and the UNI coaches and wrestlers were the first at our house to get us relocated. I just had shoulder surgery and was a worthless pos and they bailed me out. CSB

Don't know if I posted this yet, but I never talked to Coach Schwab about the Carver comments.

Edit: This post is an example of poor writing.

That's hard to believe that he wouldn't want the revenue from a packed McLeod Center even though it might be overrun with Iowa fans.

I actually like Schwab a lot as a person and think he's a great guy. He's just bought into that little brother mentality. Nothing wrong with that. UNI just isn't better than us at anything and that's okay.

Can anyone confirm that Schwab only wants to dual Iowa in West Gym? I’m pretty sure I remember that from a couple of years back.

Do what every year? I think we're having a communication issue.

You said Schwab would not want to miss the revenue by holding the meet in West gym compared to McLeod, just to keep hawk fans out.

I agree.

I pointed out that the Clowns are perfectly fine with putting a screen up in Hilton to keep hawk fans out & the decreased revenue that comes along with that decision. Just pointing out that they are equally dumb business decisions.

Plus, we got a new room guy in the HWC by the name Grody Brothus who can swing a bat pretty well.

Fair enough, I will eagerly anticipate your follow up posts to those that poke fun at or insult Tom Ryan. But it's certainly ok to rip Bielema apart on the football board right?

A) He's calling out current student/wrestlers, not just coaches who left long ago. B) Most of the football board praises Bielema and has begged for him to come back, not rip him apart.

Doesn't he have to? Or else just continue to sit in the 30+ ranking? As you say, nothing wrong with that.

So I agree Pd3 shouldn't have tweeted..but Schwab and Ramos are pissing me off... words I'd never thought I'd say

Has Benedict Ramos been spouting off again or are you speaking off his old material? If he is he's just trying to stir up interest in his lame as book.

Ramos said that Schwab "won the internet" after that Carver tweet.

Ramos is dumb as a box of rocks. I can't wait to run into him and give him a piece of my mind. He's a walking contradiction and sellout that needs to understand he just isn't on the same level as the kids that pounded on him. Hard headed idiot.

Ramos is not a Hawk "great". Not even close.

I'm a super casual but I've been following this Downey saga. PD2 would be fun as hell to have a beer with and wish nothing but good things for PD3's future. This whole thing feels like a square peg in a round hole but just win, baby.

Bottom line - PD3 better back up all the shit he talks on the mat this year.

As a lifelong diehard fan, I encourage you to follow the Hawks more closely on the mat. PDIII is an entertaining character and a great talent. He definitely brings some added interest to this season, but the Iowa lineup is filled with absolutely terrific young men who are led by fantastic coaches with the highest of ethical standards, unlike some of their peers.

Iowa wrestling's climb back to the top is a compelling story and well worth the attention of any casual fan. Plenty of room on the bandwagon! It's always great pulling for the good guys to get back on top. I highly recommend making the transition from casual fan to avid fan! It's gonna be a great ride.

I was one of those rural NW Iowa kids that wrestled from 1st-8th grade and then switched to basketball, so I figure that I'm persona non grata on this forum. This is an incredibly informative board to lurk and I love what's happening with the HWC (round of applause for you guys). From what I gather, Spencer Lee and Jacob Warner are gamechangers but we still have ground to make up. Hopefully PD3 can positively help us with the upperweights toward getting us back on the top of the heap where we belong.
