We're going in the same direction, the difference is we're stuck on a single lane gravel road while they're on the autobahn.
I can understand Penn State out recruiting us but not Michigan and Ohio State. Did we recruit Lemley, Mendez, Bouzakis, Davino, basically everyone else that didn't go to Penn State? This is the issue. Piss poor recruiting of guys we should be getting if we're truly are the second best team in the country. Can't use facilities, history and tradition, and a sold out Carver as an excuse . The vast majority of today's kids don't want to wrestle for Brands. The style, coaching, and demeanor from this staff is antiquated. Change needs to happen

Iowa wrestlers need to do more of that thing where you get behind the other wrestler and get points for doing it and if you do that enough it earns you a win, which helps the team win.................and Iowa needs to do more of that, and less of what they're currently doing.
Don’t forget that the walking-dead look from our seniors each year is kind of a turnoff for recruits with post collegiate aspirations.
Yeah but I don't think you're gonna find any other coaches, let alone younger coaches, that can afford as much juice.......that Penn State can afford to give their wrestlers.
That makes all the difference in how much fun they're having compared to everyone else.....................just sayin.
Been saying it all year snd took a beating for it for months and blocked by several. The mat side antics, the shitty interviews, the way he manages room etc all not good. Kids and parents snd HS coaches arent fans.
In reality, we had an in at a club full of studs for 1-2 years… now we rely on transfers to just stay competitive.
The two wins are at weights where the original Penn state starter got hurt too.. even worse.
Get in on shots with head down, head stays down and do nothing with said shot.......gets countered for takedown and all fans of wrestling are has a sad.

Remember when “I shoot, I score. You shoot, I score” used to be Iowa? That torch got passed a long time ago now.
Once again Iowa gets in on a shot and out horse powered into not getting a takedown and ending up giving up points.
If you think that was bad wait until you see what Glazier does in the entire match vs brooks lol one shot attempt

It always seems like the motivation angle is taken way too much. These young guys today are driven from the age of 12 or earlier and have practiced with all the best coaches. They don’t need to be preached to, they need to be shown how to improve.
Iowa wrestlers shooting in on a leg looks like those kids trying to tackle Spike in the Little Giants.............
