honest question, who was the last great iowa wrestler who was at his best his final year?
long long list of guys with disappointing senior years
Right? What exactly did he actually attempt to do in that match with any conviction? Other than hang on Bartlett in the first half of the 3rd, he seemed motivated in little else.

I’m feeling pretty good about my call in the off-season about Caleb being the guy at 149. Knew he had it in him if he keeps his head straight.
His offense is diverse enough to be an issue with anyone in the 4-8 range. No prediction at how he finishes, but I like his progress so far.
And to think he was a 3 time Iowa State champ........shows ya how weak our lower weights have gotten in the state at the HS level.
