The B1G is a very good conference top to bottom. But I do think they are overrated in the polls during the season and come tourney time. It's surprising to me that the B1G doesn't seem to do very well in the Dance.

The B1G has ran below average in the tournament the past 2 years, but that's not a long-term trend. Just back in 2019 the Big Ten went 13-8 with 3 teams in sweet 16 and MSU in Final 4. 2018 Michigan was in the finals.
Obviously the B1G has had a 22 year drought for a National Championship, but the B1G also has 7 runner up's during that time frame, which is a bit of bad variance. My guess is the Big Ten will be seen as down this year, but I don't believe 2 years of bad tournament performances is what is causing that--it will just be a lot of new faces and growing pains this year.

Let's just say not the character we are looking for in our squad. I know we all like the tough guys who can get at someone a bit but this isn't that type of player.
