I wish we had gotten Ullis, but most of you guys need to step back from the cliff. It sucks that the Hawks didn't win, when they just needed to take it. But, when you step back from the disappointment and frustration, Iowa just played the number 4 team in the country to a one-point game on their home court, which is one of the most difficult places to win in the entire country. And yes, as hard as it is to admit it, ISU is a very good team.
Mike Gesell is not an elite PG, but reading what you guys are writing, you would think Little Lick has been the starting PG for Iowa the past few years. Mike and Adam have started for Iowa their entire careers, and have already led Iowa to about 80 wins. The total lack of respect and loyalty by Iowa fans is troubling to me.
Finally, Williams and Bohannon are both good players, and it is too early to know how they will perform the next few years. I am optimistic about the future of Iowa BB, but we need to stop setting up incredibly low and high expectations. I was lucky enough to watch Ronnie and Kenny play, and they were about as good as it gets in college BB. There is no reason to expect Williams and Moss to be at their level. There is also no reason to think that Williams and Bohannon are going to be failures... If you aren't happy with the job Fran is doing, maybe you should consider rooting for another team or exploring other interests.
