I haven't lived in Iowa in over 12 years but the CR Kernels games were always great. I also think that catching a St. Paul Saints game is more fun than going to Target Field.
Carolina Beach, rented a place on the beach and staying with family - did it last year too. Was a fun time, kids had a blast. Was in the Outer Banks in '19 and this was a little more "low key"

I think Minneapolis gets a bad rap. I have family and friends up there that I still enjoy visiting and I just get a kick out of people acting like it's a shithole/more dangerous than other "large" cities. Denver is obviously vastly superior.
I believe more people were murdered in rural Linn County, IA, than in Minneapolis yesterday.
