What type of rolexes? They may be worth a ton on the gray market atm. Can't even buy a new rolex in store at retail anymore. Gray market used prices are ~50% over new retail now.
Submariner black with steel band.

Submariner blue face, blue gold around edge. Gold down middle of band.Got as a gift from my FIL. Haven’t wore it since he died.
I never really liked it and only wore it when i was going to be around him. I probably should sell it.

I wear a tag aqua racer most days.
Sometimes switch to a tag tiger woods grey background that keeps raising in value so i don’t wear it much.
Have 2 rolexs i don’t wear at all.

Tag. Not bad. If I’m going Swiss I’m going Breitling (SuperOcean obvi) though.

As far as Rolex - meh. Unless you’re talking the right submariner. What you got bro?

Edit: just saw your post. Submariner = good. Gold = bummer.

If you don't have any sentimental attachment I'd strongly consider it. If you are on Facebook check out groups like MODA Watch Club (there is a 10k and under group and an unlimited price group) or RWB. Would at least give you a good idea on value and if it's worth considering.

Which super ocean? I have a SO Heritage 2 in blue and rose gold and it's one of my favorite watches in the collection. The new styles are nice, but certainly different in design.

That’s a beautiful watch. I despise gold accents though. JMHO.

I'm not a fan of the yellow gold. Rose gold on the other hand 🤤🤤

I do hate overdone gold on watches in general though. Definitely would never want a gold bracelet for a number of reasons. Even a gold case cam be a bit much (both on the wallet and the eyes).

I wear one pretty much every day here’s my top 5:

Corum Admirals Cup 44

In my experience - rose gold is like pineapple on pizza, you hate it or you love it. I get it, but I don’t see it.

The beauty of watches, it’s all in the eye of the beholder. If you’re wearing a watch for someone else, you’re not doing it right.

Wore ordinary watches in the 70’s and 80’s. Then went years without wearing one.

Ten years ago company gave me a really nice TAG Heuer, and now I wear it when I go out.

Not gonna wear a smartwatch.

Omega did an inexpensive crossover with Swatch that I kinda want one
The moon swatches are pretty cool and the new bio-ceramic is incredibly light. I will say, the velcro straps they come with are cheap af and if you have a slightly larger wrist they don't fit well. I "had to" swap out the straps on mine to white rubber from rubber bee. I was shocked that they just released an all white "snoopy" version of those watches just recently. Good value and fun watches. Curious, do you have a favorite?

Apple watch guy, one year in. I used it primarily to track physical activities, working out, etc. Use the timer feature quite often, grilling, task management. Use it to set reminders, it’s so easy to do and effective.

Recently, I upgrade the golf shot app for the watch. Shit bro, the data after a few rounds…. I discovered something about my swing, something I think that has been a missing key to my golf game. My hand speed through the ball is significantly lower than what the ideal hand speed is. So I started focusing on a quicker, faster wrist cock and damn I was hitting the ball so damn flush. CSB

I almost hate that we're connecting on this you MAGA, lol. But this is the cool that HROT used to be. I've been wanting a white watch for a long time.
Having trouble posting the image from my phone, but the Moonphase-Full Moon is sexy as f**k.

A good reminder for us both that we probably have more in common than not lol

Is this the one you're talking about? Or did you mean a true omega moon phase like this: https://montro.com/en/omega/speedma...tIplnm-3Hqh9D6AV57q-VofaHMwxG8hhoCmmsQAvD_BwE

Watches are one of those topics I could nerd out on for hours lol

Tag when suit or sports jacket. Tag connect any other time.
How do you like the tag connect? Have you had an apple or Samsung smart watch ever to compare it to? I definitely like the tag styling the most of the smart watches I've seen

That's the one you SOB.
Haha it's a nice one. I was legit shocked when they announced a snoopy crossover. I have the mission to mars and Uranus (heheh) now. I was thinking the snoopy may go perfectly with those two in my collection actually. Good to know you do have good taste on some things, cubby 😉

Apple Watch for fitness features is better in terms of battery time. I use only the golf function and to wear with casual clothes because I think it looks cool. It found both Sand Hills And Ballyneal which have awful cell reception. That was cool. On a full charge and not using steps messages etc it lasts a full day of golf. Damn accurate too. Also with a dead battery the face still shows up if that matters. I love it to be honest. Also charges super fast.

I have a watch that I got when I first began making *real* money. Not sure how "high-end" it is: $1-2k. After 25 years I still like it a lot. And, in all this time I've only ever seen 1 other person who had the same watch.
Well, what kind?

I've had an ebb and flow affair with watches ever since I was a kid. Spans of my life, I never worn one, and other times, I wouldn't leave the house without strapping one on my wrist.

Currently I have a 6 watch rotation depending on what my itinerary is for the day.

2 beaters that are absolutely bomb proof and have a cult following among enthusiasts.

Casio G Shock Solar/Radio- wear this almost everyday for 10 yrs and still ticking.

Casio Duro Dive- have a Bluro (blue dial), changed out the stock strap to a light brown waterproof leather.

2 Casuals-
Hamilton Khaki Field "White Dial"
Citizen Eco Field

2 Dress
Citizen Eco Corso
Tissot Tradition

Next on the list
Seiko Chrono (Light Blue Dial)
Orient Bambino (Grey Dial)
Seiko Cocktail Time (Ice)
Seiko Alpinist

Holy Grails
Omega Moonwatch
Rolex Bond Submariner

I can't find a pic of my favorite watch that I never wear anymore, as it's 25 year old. This one is close, however:

Jeeebus tenacious… you stole my damn watch! I bought mine a year ago in Switzerland…the exact same (looking) watch! “Sea star”… you have great taste!

I looked at watches in Zurich and was told by more than one salesman that if I wanted to buy a watch in Switzerland, that Basil was the place to buy it. So, when I’m Basil, I bought mine.

I missed the annual Basil “watch fair” by 8 days…Runor has it that is THE watch event of tge year in the world for watch officianados! I would have loved to been there for that.

I wear a watch mainly because I find it handy to have quick access to time and notifications. I used to dream about owning a luxury watch, those classic ones that exude elegance. However, reality hit hard with their steep price tags. Recently, though, I stumbled upon a replica of one of my favorite luxury watches, and I have to say, it's impressively close to the real deal. It's a neat way to enjoy the style and feel without breaking the bank. If you're curious, you can check out the replica I found here at https://replicarichardmille.io

I've never had the wardrobe that looks appropriate with a luxury watch. I will say that our HR director, who was basically terrible in every other way, did a good job selecting a watch that fit my personality and lifestyle for my ten-year gift; a Tag. It is perfect for me and now, ten years later, I am still very happy with it.

Didn't wear a watch for years until the iwatch came out. Not sure I really need it.

Would have been great to have when i used to run a lot. The tracking of miles and pace would have been great

Need? No. But definitely one of my favorite pieces of tech.

Annoying that the "leaks" about Watch 10 are so sparse and erratic. I'm going to need to upgrade (because battery) and keep seeing tempting discounts on the Watch 9, so it would be nice to know what's coming.

No. I considered getting an apple watch at one point, but then I realized I don't like getting notifications on my phone, so why would I want them on my wrist?

I do have a couple nice watches for formal events.

Interesting. That's the main reason I wear mine.

I have a couple of nice watches for formal events too, and I prefer them over smartwatches.
In case you're still thinking about this, I've got a suggestion. I recently came across a replica Rolex that looks almost identical to the original. The quality is so impressive that it made me question whether it's worth paying the high cost for the original ones.
I've been leaning towards replicas lately because they offer the same look and feel without the hefty price tag. What's your take on this? Do you think the original is worth the extra cost, or are high-quality replicas a smart alternative?
