My opinion on how the Big 10 West will finish:

Iowa (7-2) - Losses at PSU and home againist MICH
Nebraska (6-3) - Losses at WIS, at OSU and at Iowa
Wisconsin (5-4) - Losses at MSU, at MICH, OSU at home and at Iowa
Minnesota (5-4) - Losses at PSU, Iowa at home, at NEB and at WIS
Northwestern (4-5) - Losses at home to NEB, at Iowa, at MSU, at OSU and WIS at home

Hawks play an undefeated OSU in the Big 10 Title game.

6-3, drop at PSU, Michigan and either Nebbie or Wiscy. Think Nebbie will take the West this year unless we beat them.

Don't get too cocky, guys. We could lose to Rutgers on Saturday. They may have been putting in some extra practice time all summer, for Iowa. They have guys on their staff that have Iowa connections. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if we went in there and lost.

Not gonna happen. Daniels and Welsh are back and Iowa will dominate the line of scrimmage. This team is awake now. I'm glad this team lost to NDSU and not Rutgers or Illinois.

Hawks will finish B1G play 5-4. They'll play in some Podunk bowl on Dec 15. So glad we locked up KF for another 10 years. I love his brand of FB.

We can't take anyone lightly...not with this team. Tough to say but I hope we can be in the race come black Friday. Scary to think, but I'm not sure we can stay .500 in BIG play.

Pelini would struggle against the Cats. Riley has finally got that whole dumpster fire behind him and the team. I expect the score to be around 45-12.
The Husker's win or lose on the play of Armstrong. So far this year he has made fewer mistakes and the Husker's have rolled. Will the new Tommy continue, remains to be seen. Their defense is not great.

Some of you here, it's apparent to most who you are, need a lesson on making an effective argument and retort. First, an opinion without supporting facts is ineffective. Second, retorts that start with "your team almost lost" or "our team lost by less than your team" are weak.
Please take these friendly suggestions and we will all be better off. To those on here that know this already please disregard. I appreciate a lively debate about the B1G West.

I could see this happening, but I am leaning more towards Iowa being 6-3 and Nebbie being 6-3 (losses to wisky, OSU, and NW). I think Iowa loses to (PSU, Michigan, and Minny).

I think the black friday day game, could be a Big Ten West title showdown.

I still think that the B1G West, should be determined, first, by the 6-game head-to-head, within the B1G West.
It would avoid conversations on the 3-game crossovers, where Connie has Sparty, Bucky and Blue and Iowa has Blue, Jersey and State Penn.
Connie will probably finish 5-1 or 6-0, just within the B1G West.
Iowa will probably finish 4-2 (losses to Connie and Debbie), just within in the B1G West, but Iowa would probably have the better overall conference record, because of the crossovers.

Of the probable contenders in the West, Iowa clearly has the scheduling in their favor and wisky clearly does not. wisky may be the better team, probably are, but I think they're going to get beat up with that schedule. I think (gag) nebby is just good enough to take the West due to wisky's tough cross over schedule and Iowa's classic down year following a good season. It will be a matter of which so-so team from the West is just good enough to take on the actual national title contender from the East(probably tosu) and be drubbed in the B1G title game.

Nebraska's only regular-season loss is probably going to come at the Horseshoe.
Barely beating Oregon at home sure has got Husker nation more delusional than ever. Not to mention with so much help from the refs. Play a good defense first, then talk.

Our two toughest games are back-to-back Wisconsin and Ohio State. If we can make it to Wisconsin undefeated and get by them then we can beat anybody.
@Wisconsin, @OSU, Minnesota, Maryland, @Iowa is a tough stretch. The front end of Nebraska's schedule is easy and they should be undefeated. Indiana might give ya fits. Don't sleep on Maryland.

Too early to tell how bad Iowa is and how good Wisc and Neb are, and you may have the weakest posts on this board. You have no idea how good Oregon is based on the season so far. I don't know why red rover comes over here with that weak stuff, he must be trolling, and I guess he caught what he was fishing for, do better.

Well Wisconsin did beat LSU and Nebraska beat Oregon. Ohio State took down Oklahoma and Michigan State dispatch Notre Dame. The top teams in the conference are getting it done and that's all that matters in the end.

You're kidding yourself if you think Oregon is anywhere near what they were in the early 2010's. Nebraska hasn't looked the greatest through most of their games. They do manage to blow the games open in the fourth quarter which is great against lesser opponents.

It took so much right for Nebraska to beat Oregon at home. Which, I'll be honest, I wish things went right for Iowa against NDSU. It was definitely a good win against Oregon but it's not enough to completely flip the switch on Nebraska.

It's like all of a sudden both fan bases have put blinders on and just looked at last Saturday to determine that Nebraska is back and Iowa is dog crap. Don't forget how good Iowa looked against a crappy ISU team that usually gives the Hawks fits. Now that the OLine is healthy, Iowa won't be as bad as they were against NDSU.

This.

Iowa probably isn't as bad as everyone thinks right now. They played a turd of a game against a pretty good NDSU team and they paid for it.

Neb and Wisc both have very good non-conf wins over Oregon and LSU. We don't know how good those wins really are at this point.

About 6 games in we can really start to get a feel for how good or bad a team really is.

So we can't sit and talk about tall these teams because we don't know how good they are yet? Well that sucks. See you guys in a couple weeks.

I've never said anything about Iowa being Dog Crap.

Oregon was down their best player and has a JV offensive line. Oregon gave up 28 and 26 to UC-Davis and Virginia. It was at Nebraska. Count me in the group of it was a good win, but certainly not a great win.

You generalize both fan bases too broadly. Take a breath and slow down. IMHO, it's iowas D that should worry you in B1G play more so than any O linemen.
